A classic JDW, this building was originally a post office. Nice quick service for breakfast. Plenty of beers and ciders on draft. A very rare spoon with toilets on the ground floor, no stairs to negotiate!

Since I came here, the steak has been superb. Perfectly cooked and good size with plenty of chips at the side. Haven't gone wrong yet. Hope they continue the great food.

Quick friendly service.good price , hot food presented well and good quality. Only down point was a misty stale smell in the building. Could just been a 1 off.

Food good for the price. Its also an evening meeting place for drinks too, so can be quite full from early evening. Good staff. Has its own outdoor smoking zone which saves smokers from the wind as it enclosed with tables and chairs too. Update: We went back on an afternoon visit. The food was just as good as last time. Was the place half empty or half full? I seen it as half full. You can feel the positive attitude of the serving staff too

Went here on Sunday 11/8/22 I chose tikka masala really lovely plenty chicken in.been to job bulman lots for food and a drink of course .prices are so very reasonable. Good food for your money x

A favourite pub when staying in Newcastle, it's a short trip out but well worth it, if you want to eat outside the bustling city centre. It's very comfortable and the food is both great value and good. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere, best spoons in the city.

Love this place , especially after 2pm Monday to Friday cheaper main meals with drink or lite bites with drink with drinks a bargain give it a go you won't regret and staff polite and friendly as you can get ...GO GIVE IT A TRY.
