Got our wedding cake from this bakery. We customised our cake and the bakery delivers more than what we've expected. Our cake has 2 love swans made out of puff pastry. It was beautiful and looks amazing. The cake tastes heavenly, fluffy and moist, not heavy at all. All of my family and friends loved it and it's just a shame that we have to share our cake! Highly recommended!
A little hidden gem of an Asian Bakery, near Northumbria University 🥐
There is probably only 1 or 2 tables for dining in - which makes the experience even more exquisite. It was my very first time here - I remember my cousin recommending me this bakery, saying that this was perhaps one of the best. It's not located in Chinatown - just a little walk away from Northumbria University, and you come across this hidden gem.
The baked goods sold are DELICIOUS. All freshly baked, and sold there and then. Green tea with egg yolk paste pastries, various cakes, swiss rolls of different varieties. I tried a few of them, and enjoyed all of it thoroughly.
If you love Asian Pastries, this will certainly be a highlight.

Thank you master chow for this lovely amazing cake. My husband and I ordered the same flavour cake for our wedding 6 years ago. He had a sample of the cake before the wedding day but unfortunately he didn't get to eat his wedding cake on the day. He kept talking about it every year without him realising. So this year, for his big 40th, I thought to surprise him with the same flavour cake from our wedding day and turn it into his birthday cake. It was a wonderful surprise for him and he was thrilled.
The flavours are amazing. Light and fluffy sponge, beautiful and delicious seasonal fruits that complements the cake so well and whats more, it's not too sweet. It is just as we remembered it.
Communication to customise the cake was smooth and precise. I couldn't believe master chow hand drawn the meme and it was perfect. Friends and family loved the cake and the craftsmanship. We all had a good laugh about it. Excellent customer service!
Totally worth the hour drive to get the cake. Thank you again master chow to make his 40th a day to remember by!

Had the Japanese cheesecake from here for my birthday. Absolutely fantastic! So soft, jiggly and feather light! It just melts in your mouth. I know where I am going to get cakes from now on.
UPDATE: I ordered my partner's birthday cake from here. I asked if they could make a cake look like a pizza for him. Oh boy, was it delicious and so creative! It was so light and tasty and looked exactly like a deep pan pizza. Made my partner's birthday. Thank you! ❤️
This bakery is a little gem in this neighbourhood, got their handmade, fresh and tasty egg roll waffles, sometimes if you're lucky you may even have a glimpse of the action, no where in Newcastle has it, I'm sure it will be a hit, just like the bubble waffle. Their other products were great too.
Got the lovely customised wedding cake from this bakery, it was very delicious and everyone liked it. Thank you Master Chow Bakery. We would definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

Drove past this hidden gem on my way to get my lashes done and decided to give it a try. I must say that it did not disappoint! Bought the mango Japanese cheesecake and it was so moist, fluffy and the perfect sweetness. It has such a unique texture to it which I loved. I’m not actually a cake girl but this hit different + the lady who served me was so sweet. Can’t wait to go back and try the other cakes they have <3
Master Chow is a super bakery I visit as often as possible all of the cake are super we have had birthday cakes made for our daughter and we always recommend this place to our friends for a sweet treat, do yourself a favour and visit next time you are in the area
