Service ok, feel it could be improved by having more bar staff on a weekend and promoting matum the bar glass collector to a bar tender as he is he is focussed and looks more than capable

Very classy cocktail bar with good tunes. Enjoyed the classic martini with Bombay. Shaken and ice cold just the way I enjoy it. Service was top-notch. Champion!!!

Always my motto to walk on the sunny side of the street and this us definitely it. Lovely ice cold tall italian moretti on a baking hot day.
They stop food at 4pm midweek but I arrived at 3.30pm and they were done x

It was Saturday afternoon and very busy but not overcrowded. Just two of us. Cocktail very nice. Not sure if there was any food available as no menu was presented. Collect your own drink from the bar, but didn't wait too long to be served. There is an outside area at the entrance which is quite small and filled up quickly. However the windows inside are very big so you don't feel 'closed in'. There was an upstairs section but didn't venture up; possibly food was only served there. Downside is only one WC for male and female use.

Surprised about the negative reviews. Such a lovely place. The decor is so inviting and the staff really nice. Very good drinks selection and decent prices for a high end pub.

Situated close to Theatre royal this is an attractive looking restaurant/bar. Very quick service by professional staff with a good choice of food and drink. I had bruschetta and glass of merlot and he plumped for cheese (gruyere which was lovely) and tuna melt with beer. Both very tasty and served quickly but thought £30 was expensive especially as they add a 10% tip. Toilet wasn't working on first floor so had to go up another flight of stairs but did go past a lovely snug area on top floor.

Our second visit and just as good as the first time, the staff are excellent very accomodating, smart clean lovely place to have a drink. Also although not on the menu the best Pinacolada in toon, this one prepared by Sam .

Have visited a few times now as really enjoyed our first visit. Good music, nice interior, relaxed vibe. Polite and friendly staff. Good drinks list especially enjoyed their wine selection. Great little spot for a few drinks on Grey street.

Met a good friend here for some drinks before we went elsewhere for food, so cannot comment on the food side of things.
On my arrival, I received a really nice welcome and then I sat and waited for my friend. Once he arrived, we enjoyed a couple of drinks each. It is table service, which adds to the experience. There is a fair (and very common nowadays) 10% service charge which is absolutely fine.
The only reason for the 4 stars is that there wasn’t enough of the right ingredients to make any additional Bloody Mary cocktails which was a shame. But other than that, we had a lovely time. Such a lovely layout and there’s a fantastic seating area outside which no doubt is a big hit in the nicer weather.
