Situated on Pink Lane, this pub can easily be passed. Selling local beer and a good selection of drinks. Very friendly staff. We visited at lunchtime so no performance happening. Enjoyed a light lunch as a break from the shopping. Good food; very tasty and well presented. Reasonable prices alongside quality mean the Jazz Cafe gets full marks. Very clean and tidy with a contemporary feel to the deco. Fits in well with the theme they're trying to portray.

Great venue in a good spot - opens at 11am and is a great place to pop in for a cuppa at a decent price. There are so many coffee shops to chose from and this one offers spacious tables, wifi and decent coffee, drink and food at affordable prices. If you like a coffee without the jargon or price tag its a great place. The decor is nice, staff friendly and there is a good selection of magazines and papers plus some local listings guides. It is also a venue on an evening and does private parties. Ideal for popping into if you're waiting for a train too as its close to the station.

Niche venue which has a jazz cafe on the first floor. Small is size and very intimate but really nice. Not personally my cup of tea but can certainly see why people enjoy it. The drink isn't the cheapest but isn't the most expensive. If you like jazz, pop you're head in and find out when the next performance/show is. Quite unique to Newcastle actually.

A good meeting place when doing classes at Newcastle Arts Centre, down a narrow lane and at the end of an alley, with Central Station just across from the front door down another! In an old part of Newcastle. Very friendly folks serving and the food was tasty.

Changed owner and management since the legend that was Keith died. Has been given a complete revamp. Good to listen to the sound of a jazz saxophone drifting up pink lane again, do a selection of food and coffee tea as well as alcohol. Worth a visit

I booked the upstairs room at the Jazz Cafe for our Green Thinkers bookclub. It was the ideal venue with cosy sofas and tasty food and drinks. All very conducive to a good discussion.

Location was great and it had a cosy atmosphere. The food took a while to come and it was a bit cold but tasted good and they were able to offer me a gluten option.

Very friendly place for a drop in cuppa or something a little stronger. Music venue upstairs, downstairs smaller quieter.
