Locals Christmas party at the Ffynnone on Saturday night....what can I say? Superb doesn't seem enough!!! The food was absolutely delicious! Locally sourced and cooked to perfection! The Turkey (from Penrallt Goch Poultry) was without doubt the tastiest I've ever had, and tho ' I didn't have any the beef looked pretty damn good, too! And all served with plenty of tasty veg. Starters and desserts also delicious, and all served by pleasant, helpful staff....well done girls! Oh...not forgetting the lovely Philip behind the bar! Entertainment in the form of Hedydd's choir rounded off the evening beautifully.....just so lovely! Hedydd....thank you so much for a wonderful evening! So glad the Ffynone is our "local"! Diolch yn fawr! x
Really friendly place, with good well kept beer. Not tried the food but looked good with meat from local farms. Beautiful old building with stone flagstone floors, really accommodating for kids, friendly locals

Lovely outdoor beer Garden and great service, only giving 4 stars rather than 5 since there were no light meals only roast dinner style meals, which I’m sure are lovely since many people were queuing for them. Light food like sandwiches ect are not available but they have pipers crisps (very nice) and nuts as well as a variety of soft/non alcoholic drinks. Their bar looks well stocked also.
Good selection of real ale including the very local mantle ale, lovely pub food, fantastic Sunday roasts and pizza nights on some Thursdays, locally sourced ingredients. Pool table, Darts and a juke box. Proper pub
This was hands down the best carvery I’ve ever had. Home cooked food full of flavour and love. The local beef was tender and perfectly cooked, the Turkey was succulent and flavourful. The veg had the Just cooked crunch and colour. GF, DF and vegan options available. The Sticky Toffee Pudding was up there with the best I’ve sampled. The staff were super friendly and took the time to talk with us. A lovely dog friendly pub with amazing food and welcoming atmosphere.
Fantastic food and friendly, cozy atmosphere. Went there for Sunday lunch at short notice and even though they were understaffed and rushed of their feet, made us and our puppy feel right at home. Food was absolutely delicious and a great selection of drinks. Even the vegetarian option was great. Definitely go again.
Lovely place haven't been there for a couple of decades. Polite friendly staff and good beer.
Excellent food & service and a good choice of ales
Really impressed. The food was clearly locally sourced and cooked fresh, as it says on their website. The staff and the locals were really welcoming of our two young kids - one of whom was in the mood for trouble. The beer was decent too. It's all really good value. Would definitely recommend. They only had one high chair available and that was in use when we were there. A couple more would help through the summer holiday season, I'm sure.
What a warm & welcoming friendly pub. Went on pizza night - very tasty. Met some lovely local people in-the beer garden. Would highly recommend a visit
