Had lunch in the tearoom and then walk around the garden. Lunch and cakes were lovely, staff very friendly. Garden had lots of different areas including a walled garden. The addition of the gardeners reference points were great as it gave you points to look at as this time of year gardens are not as colourful. The route was laid out well and easy to follow.
Discovered this gem last year and we had to return. The gardens are beautiful and there's something interesting at every turn. With the map comes the Head Gardeners notes on what to look out for which adds to your walk. Lovely and shady when it's a scorching day and great for dogs. The cafe restaurant I can't recommend enough. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is amazing. Lovely selection of cakes and drinks. I would add that the set up is good that you can just visit for the cafe and enjoy the view from the benches of you don't want to do the gardens. Will be back next year.

It's such a nice place. The food is very good, and then the walk in the gardens makes for a great afternoon. Best enjoyed without rain.
What a beautiful little garden hidden away in the cornish countryside. My wife and I loved the time that we spent here. The garden is laid out with small uneven pathways and larger clatter paths. My favourites were the tree ferns, hidden away in their own little glade, which just happens to be one of the earliest tin mines in the world. It is absolutely beautiful and worth the cost of entry alone. Don't forget to have some cake and coffee at the little cafe, the coffee is Cornish and makes a really fine brew.

Very interesting gardens to walk through, not the regular flower bed type garden, full of amazing shrubs.
The staff were friendly, and knowledgeable when we asked the odd question of a couple of gardeners.
Would love to be able go back to see the amazing magnolias etc in spring.

Our second visit to the area in as many years and we finally went to Trewidden instead of driving by commenting that we must go there! What a great decision.
We aren’t easy to accommodate with a baby and a dog but Trewidden delivered.
This place is wonderful. A little calm oasis. We had lunch at the tearoom and the food was beautiful and clearly prepared with thought and pride. The service was excellent. The staff enjoyed engaging with their customers and we heard more than one member of staff welcome customers like old friends and take the time to make recommendations about other places to visit and enjoy in the area. We had the gardens explained to us by a lady who literally looked delighted to tell us all about them.
We wandered around the beautiful gardens and returned to the tea room for a cream tea. Do not leave without having the cream tea. Outstanding!
