Super family run pub. Very welcoming & friendly service. The pies and lamb burger with Stilton cheese were great. Nice puddings too. 5 or 6 good vegan/vegetarian options (a bigger & better choice than most pubs) Food is homemade and locally sourced where possible. Good red wine, I was driving, so I had zero alcohol Guinness Unfortunately, we were passing through, so a much deserved second visit is unlikely
We were made to feel extremely welcome, Lucy and the team were very friendly and most accommodating and the freshly prepared food was amazing! Thoroughly recommended.
After a desperate search for a good pub sandwich in the area, we happened upon the White Horse. We were greeted with the warmest welcome, and a simple but perfectly formed sandwich menu (although everything looked good!) The sandwiches were great, and the chips were clearly homemade -such a nice surprise and really over delivered! Thank you such a perfect lunch :)
