Parking a little difficult as on a corner . The garden areas are lovely and one part is synthetic grass. Meals had a wonderful odour from the kitchen and looked appetising but we only stopped for a cold drink. Staff very friendly and the little dachshund saying hello to everyone too. Interior very f
We went for a Sunday dinner(called in around 13.00 to be sure we can turn out). We were seated and served at the table. Bar was packed and very busy. The man who took care of us was very nice and mindful. Food was delicious and to high standards. All the staff seemed friendly and helpful.
Really lovely dog friendly pub and restaurant. We stopped during our 5 hour drive for a lunch break with the dog and 2 kids. No set kids menu, but very accommodating and offered smaller meals for them for really decent prices. Food was delicious too! And the garden is very pretty. Would absolutely g
What an excellent pub, we had a great time there, even though our little Peggy scared everyone off by shouting across the pub. Food was delicious and service very friendly. Wished we could have stayed longer...
Atmosphere. Quality. Service. Satisfaction. All words to describe my experience tonight. The proprietor, John, is fourth generation owner. He's constantly checking and visiting wit the patrons. Even brought us anything we needed. His wife works the kitchen, son works the front with him. This pub is
Had roast dinner with lamb. It was yummy! The interior made you feel like you'd travelled back in time to a treasured place. Service was quick and with a smile from the helpful staff. I enjoyed dining here and will definitely visit again.
Wow what a lovely pub. We pop in randomly and we were shown such a lovely welcome we felt like we've been locals for years and dog lovers too.
Convenient place to meet half way and what a piece of luck to find a friendly pub with delicious home cooked food. The sticky toffee pudding was A*, light and moist with just the right amount of sauce and custard, often a problem with this pudding. Excellent!
Great little pub with a friendly clientele. Good food and a lovely atmosphere. This pub is supported by the local community so expect to join in with the banter.
A great evening as always, food was top notch and great value. A good selection of beer and ale.
