Otaru Sushi

Great place for a cheap sushi date! I love walking along Main St. Newmarket exploring the shops, and then walking into Otaru sushi for a nice lunch. I've been here many times and even tried their takeout. Their rolls with the cucumber and rice paper are definitely worth a try, and their tempura is the BEST I've had in Newmarket for sure! I recommend the seafood dinner if you LOVE tempura like me, it's totally worth the cost, and it's still crispy if you get takeout :D

Absolutely hands down my favorite sushi in Newmarket. I've been going here for a few years now and have never been let down. Kind, fast service, delicious food, and a wonderful versatile menu! Over the years this place has become my go to spot for various friend outings, dates, a hot cup of tea while I catch up with my dad or simply just some takeout for me to enjoy on a summer day. The yaki nasu is by far my favorite, along with the jade rolls, mango avocado and rainbow rolls. You can tell they take pride in their work. I'm always Looking forward to my next meal from here 🖤🖤🖤

Yummy sushi and tempura Update: We'd Dec 8 2021 Just ordered shrimp tempura light crispy delectable with tempura sauce to warm up your winter day and holidays with a side of salmon rolls mango crunch rolls for desert .there isn't anything like this Taste for yourself. Fine chef fine service. Comfortable inside with booths Great for takeout and ordering in Soothed my soul.

WOW WOW WOW! My husband and I tried Otaru sushi for the first time today and it was absolutely delicious!! Like mouth watering!! My husband and I recently moved north of Newmarket over a year ago and we have yet to find an amazing sushi place.. today was the day! So so happy that we gave this restaurant a shot. We got the P.2 party platter and all of the sushi rolls on it were amazing!

Love this place!! Ate here with my son a few times last year and we were always welcomed warmly. The service is so friendly, accommodating and the prices can’t be beat for the quality and flavour of the food. Ordered takeout on the weekend was so impressed with how quickly it arrived through Skip and the quality was great!

Decent standard and good taste for downtown Newmarket. We ordered a dynamite roll, short rib bento box and sizzling plate with steak. Prices are reasonable for the location, not the most competitive. Service is friendly. Would visit a couple of times a year as there are so many restaurants on main street.
