Nutmeg Bakeshop

We finally got around to trying this local bakery which has been highly recommended by so many people...it did not disappoint at all! The cinnamon cruffin and chocolate almond croissant were still warm and so incredibly delicious! Still need to try the pumpkin scones. All of the items were fairly priced and good portions as well. We can't wait to try more of their baked goods. So yummy!

First visit June 2022- small cute shop with pick up and go counter. Got there right when they opened, not a massive selection for walk-in but it was delicious! Chocolate croissant, almond choclate croissant and cinnamon roll were all deliciously crisp/flake on the outside and good amount of chocolate on the inside. Almond chocolate had great flavor for both. Their sourdough loaf was good but personally not my favourite as I was hoping I'd be a bit more dense inside (my personal preference). Staff very friendly. Will be back to try other items( brownies, cookies, scones)!

We first heard about Nutmeg from friends who live closer by, and now it's one of our faves even though it's a slight trek for us! Their cookies and brownies are our must-have go-tos, but their cruffins, scones, and cakes are delicious too! At the moment, if you want something specific, it's best to go online, check their menu, and order in advance (currently, you need to order exactly a week in advance).

We have tried so many bakeries in the area and Nutmeg is worth the hype. Everything we tried was delectable. The cinnamon and sugar cruffin hot from the oven? To die for! And don’t get me started about their butter tarts, oatmeal cookies, croissants or sourdough. They have lots of same day availability through their online ordering system but make sure to order early as everything sells like hot cakes… literally. I can’t wait to see what else these talented bakers have up their sleeves 👏👏👏
