Milestones

We came here for my moms birthday. Our server was really sweet (I wish I remembered her name) and helpful. We ordered: 1. 2 burgers with side of fries 2. Ribs and grilled chicken meal 3. Fish tacos with the strawberry and goat cheese salad 4. Whambam shrimp 5. Carrot cake (complimentary for the birthday guest) The burger size was definitely generous however it was a bit dry. The fries were not hot and soggy. The ribs and chicken breast was delicious. Tender meat and flavourful. Portion size was generous. Fish tacos lacked flavour but the accompanying salad was GREAT! The shrimp will be a repeat order. Delicious! Overall, mixed feelings. Some meals were wonderful while others could use some fine tuning.

One word to describe the experience at the Newmarket Milestones is.....Perfection. The staff are so welcoming and personable. Lucas our waiter/bartender was absolutely amazing. We celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary there and Kyle the GM stopped by our table to say congrats. And the food......5 stars is not enough to rate it!! We will be back soon - thank you Milestones for a wonderful anniversary celebration!

Milestones in East Gwillimbury is a wonderful restaurant to visit for a great dinner. The staff is very kind and friendly and the food is well made and fresh. The restaurant follows Covid-19 protocols and keeps the tables clean and organized. The steak sandwich was a great dish to order for its price and I will definitely come visit again!

Customer service needs severe work. Firstly, when I first entered the restaurant there were 2 men standing directly in front of the doors smoking. I kindly asked the host at the front desk if there was not a better place for them to smoke, he iproceeded to tell me “there’s nothing we can do about that” and proceeded to walk me to my table without actually addressing my concern. It then took 15 minutes for the bartender to even take my drink order following my arrival to the table. The bar area was fairly empty while we were there, maybe 3 tables seated initially and 1 or 2 people sitting at the bar. The bartender was obviously more concerned about giving his time and attention to his girlfriend who was sitting at the bar. He never refilled our drinks and my friend had to wait 15 minutes for a take out container at the end of our meal. He took so long to check on us after our meals that we did not have time to order desert before the restaurant closed. Every time he did engage with us, he was very pleasant and interactive but those moments were few and far between. The bartenders girlfriend also made us all feel EXTREMELY uncomfortable while we were there, she sat at the bar staring us down every time he would engage with us/do his job. She continued to do so while we were paying our cheques and even as we exited the restaurant. Completely unacceptable behaviour. The food was mediocre at best and not at all worth the price. Severely disappointed. Will not be returning to this location again.
