Some of the best coffee in Newport - far superior to the usual chains which dominate the centre of town.
I also had a baguette with Italian sausage, mozzarella, pepper and chilli, which really hit the spot for lunch.
Altogether, well worth a visit if you're in Newport.

Excellent coffee and cakes. Service even when busy is very efficient. Owners are Italian and bring that vibe to the café. Italian dried goods also on sale. I have knocked one star of off atmosphere only because although background music is Italian I have never heard Caterina Caselli played, my favourite Italian artiste.

Lovely afternoon tea with prosecco and very reasonably priced. I particularly enjoyed the different types of bread used for each sandwich. Friendly service especially from the owner. We will definitely be back!

Angello and Mandy have now sold the business to another Italian couple and are free to enjoy life. Thanks both for the friendly service.
The new family are also very obliging and friendly and serve tasty food. My favourite is the BLT which is not actually on the menu but is superb.
Toilet is down stairs so not wheelchair friendly but Friars Walk toilets nearby. A high chair is available for the little ones.
Seating also outside for times of sunshine or for the few smokers who have not seen the light!
The fridge is full of the most tasty pastries from Ostuni who are Angellos relatives and our favourite is the iced slice shared between us.
Busy at times but well worth the wait. Sometimes it is like being in Italy when the owners are chatting to visiting Italians, we love it. 😊

What a fantastic place to have a coffee, indulge in some stunning food and be swept off your feet with fantastic customer service.
Whenever we come to the City Centre, we always make sure that we have a coffee and some cake here as we know that we’ll always receive a warm welcome.
The customer service here goes above and beyond and it always makes our visit extra special every time we come.
Highly recommend, Bar Piazza, and I insist that you make a visit when visiting Newport City Centre

This is an excellent cafe serving awesome coffee but also an excellent variety of foods and drinks. The service is excellent and really friendly. The food is made fresh and they are always willing to adjust to order. I’ve never been in or walked past and seen it empty, and this is well deserved.
Take a pass on the big coffee chains and support a truly superb local business.
