Potters Pub

Incredible service once again from The Potters 🥰❤️ We took 12 of our SEN students out after book shopping in town to buy a hot drink and a snack! INCREDIBLE service from the staff, the children all felt so comfortable and really enjoyed their visit! Lovely food and hot drinks, even the teachers couldn’t resist! 😉 We have already decided to return again soon! From our school, a massive thank you to the staff who were so helpful, jokey and patient with our students. Cannot recommend enough! Thank you to Enz, Vicky, Alice, Jess & Nadine!

Great pub that's like a tardis inside with lots of different seating and eating areas, including a roof terrace. Good for sport watching with lots of TV screens too. The food is standard fare eg burgers, fish and steaks etc, but really good quality. A decent wine selection for a pub too it must be said. Also hosts live music, so has got it all

I really liked this public house. The city itself is struggling like most other cities, but places like Potters are thriving and giving hope to the city and its people. The pub is a mix of a drinkers and Family pub. Familys and characters mix together giving a sense of togetherness,fun and tolerance, I also get the feeling the city itself is doing the same. It's incredibly clean,with oak floorboards throughout and plenty of large TV screens,music playing and polite bar staff, and a great pint of IPA. The venue has a Large food menu which seemed popular with lunchtime guests,breakfast is served from 9am and I am going to return and post pictures of the breakfast and give a star rating for the food. Newport should be a stop over Hub for travellers travelling the M4 corridor and this certainly venue is better than any services I have used,no disrespect to services of course.

Absolutely stunning! Afternoon tea for 5 of us. Sandwiches were lovely and fresh and very tasty and the cakes were so nice! Service was perfect! Staff are happy to be there and really enjoy their jobs and this shows with the level of service given to every customer there. I'd definitely recommend this afternoon tea to everyone it's the best we've had and we've been to a lot of places. Thank you so much you gave us a wonderful afternoon 😊

Went for afternoon tea today and it was one of the best we've had anywhere. The food was fresh and filling and the staff were friendly and attentive. We have had main meals there in the past and they, too, have been lovely and even when there was a crowd of us every meal was hot, well cooked and well presented.

My first time here to have food. Was recommended this place by friends and family on numerous occasions. Staff are very nice here. Nothing is any trouble. Food is exceptionally nice. The prices are fab for the city centre of Newport. This place exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend. Definitely coming back soon. Nice restaurant area which is nice and modern.

Have always enjoyed coming here but today they exceeded themselves .. after a lovely walk we decided to pop in for a pint . The Terrace is a great place to chill with a cold one . As we walked in the smell of roast dinner and mint sauce was Devine.. so we decide to see if we could get a table . Even though they were exceptionally busy and we hadn’t booked and it’s Fathers Day they manage to get us a table .. before ordering we were told they were extremely busy and would appreciate us being patient for our food which actually came within a very reasonable amount of time piping hot and delicious. Prices are very reasonable and they even had our favourite white wine . The staff are polite and busy and can’t do enough for you . Highly recommend potters . Huge thanks to the host who made this all possible . It’s evident you love your job and thoroughly good at it . Enjoyable unplanned afternoon ! Thank you :-)
