Decent food. Fish was unfortunately not fresh, definitely frozen fish filets. (At the coast, I was hoping it would taste fresh). It was however some of the best tarter sauce ive even had. The kids' pizza looked and tasted like a personal size Red Barron cheese pizza microwaved. However, the other menu items ordered were enjoyed, as were the various pieces of pie enjoyed by our group.

I'll have to go back every day for a month to try all the menu items I want to try. Today I had the quiche spinach and bacon came with crispy hash browns fresh fruit and I chose the blueberry muffin. Great coffee. I prefer dark roast their coffee tasted very rich for a medium roast.

If you are celiac level gluten-free, this is a Restaurant I would recommend. The amount of options they had was really great for a normal restaurant. Plus they have an entire section just devoted to gluten-free take-home items. Their gluten-free pancakes were OK they make them in house and the recipe definitely needs some work before I would recommend them. However, this is still a really good restaurant. Our family really likes to eat at when we are down on the coast. I would definitely recommend you drop by.

Emily, our server, was friendly, kind and fast, over all, great; we had the senior options, plus the 2 eggs daily options for breakfast, it was probably one of the best scrambled eggs I have had in my entire life. So simple, I know, but so easy to screw up, and they made it to perfection. Their blueberry coffee cake was so good!. They had a million things in the menu I wanted to try but we were there just for one night. We are absolutely coming back to this place.

Husband and I just fell in love with this place, and decided to make sure if we come back to Newport that we will be there again with bells on! My chicken strips were the best I have ever had. Light batter and juicy chicken. Thinner than what I was expecting, but maybe that was why I loved them so much! Husband had a Spanish omelet and said it was very good.

Know that I am not kidding when I say that I don't go to Newport without eating at Chalet.
As someone who cannot eat gluten, it can be quite difficult finding restaurants that are accommodating. Chalet has many gluten free options for their meals and desserts– and at affordable prices, too!

First time at Chalet Restaurant and my husband and I just fell in love with it. The first day we went I got the Hazelnut blueberry pancakes and my husband had a build-your-own omelet. We were leaving town the next day but we had to go back before leaving. I once again did the same pancakes. I wiped my plate clean both times. Even used my knife and fork to scrape up the crumbs so I got it all. 🤣🤣 If I lived nearby I would be in so much trouble and be there all the time. 🤣🤣

Even though I am from out of town, I frequent the coast quite often and this time I wanted to try some place new and Chalet did not disappoint. I had the Shrip Eggs Benedict and a Mimosa. The food had a nice creamy hollandaise sauce and the poached eggs were cooked perfectly to were they had a golden yolk drisle. The service was very nice and the atmosphere is welcoming for those of all ages. Will recommend people to come here and have a bite to eat.
