AMAZING!
We made reservations after reading reviews. This was our first stop for dinner during our "mini moon." We dined upstairs on the patio area and it was perfect! Service, food, drinks, atomosphere were all impeccable. Their oysters were so tasty! Would definitely recommend.

Everything here was delicious! Hard to go wrong with local oysters. The char grilled octopus is fantastic, and the crab cocktail was full of many flavors and was surprisingly very good. And wow, the fish entree was spectacular! Perfectly cooked and accompanied with some tasty vegetables.

All things seafood in Rhode Island are never a disappointment! Especially at Midtown Oyster Bar just dive into their menu blindfolded!
I got to try the Tuna Tartare Tacos, their fish and chips and their burger and all were soooo good!

The food there was fantastic and I loved the small outdoor area they had for seating. It is right in downtown Newport so it's great if you are a people watcher. Definitely go for the oysters!

From chargrilled octopus to the soft shelled tacos, the appetizers were great. Considering thelobster roll is their signature item, I was expecting perfection. Unfortunately the roll could have done better, mine was a bit over toasted and was a bit dry. Overall this is a good place with great staff. Recommend.

Excellent oysters.
Beer is okay, had the salmon BLT and it was fine. Salmon overcooked and charred. Good fries.
If you're gonna come here, come for the oysters.

Great atmosphere with good social distancing, high wall booths in the back dining room. Sharing platters were huge and had great diversity. Everything was very good!

Solid 9.0 lobster roll, almost perfect. Oysters were delicious and they had 6 kinds! Most restaurants only have 1-3 kinds to select from. Large selection of local draft beers and the service was outstanding.
