It was okay. The onions were either from the day before or old. We got there right after they opened. The chili is not like it used to be. I remember when years ago the owners made it, then Ray Miller made it for years. It's no where near what it used to be. Disappointed. The only thing that hasn't changed is the cheese.

I ate here last night with my family and I couldn't believe what happened. There was a fight going on in the kitchen. Cursing and screaming at each other. The staff clearly can't work with each other. A young man ran out and said he was quitting. With all the violence in the world my mom radar went off and we left very quickly. So sad to see a local favorite go downhill. Husband and I both grew up going here. We will never be back.

First time…and overall was disappointing. Tables were not cleaned, and ordering at the counter inconvenient (food for four guests came out in three rounds). Most important, the chili was a bit thin, the bread for sandwiches not toasted, and sandwich was not a traditional high stacked double decker—which we thought we had ordered.

Just terrible and went down hill after previous owner passed away, the restaurant is looking run down, holes in seats , dirty tables , dirty walls, dirty bathrooms, rude employees, employees dont care how your food looks or whats suppose to be on it. Just sloppy .... the employees and food. decreased portions , no crackers or silverware was given to me with my last order and I had 2 spaghetti, they were suppose to be large and looked like regulars . Ate there all my life , won't be going back for a while if at all ..Doris, ruby and Rita are greatly missed.

I am from Cincinnati and I am going to get killed for this but I think this place has a notch above skyline chili. Super friendly folks that work here, chili cheese conies are amazing and the chili on the waffle fries is AAMAZING!

I’ve been going here for years and after trying over a dozen classic Cincinnati chili spots, this is by far the superior restaurant. Let’s start with atmosphere: warmly lit, big tropical plants, background music from a quiet but full-sounding juke box. It’s as cozy and stress-melting as it gets. Top it off with a full belly of cincy chili and you will leave here a new man. The food: Comes out extremely quick on their cafeteria style line, usually within a minute of ordering. The quality of the ingredients is always top notch and noticeably fresher than other chili restaurants. The cheddar cheese is tall and fluffy, the onions are fresh and crisp (not weak and flimsy like every other chili place) and the chili is plentiful and well spiced. This place achieves the perfect ratio of chili-and-cheese to bread-and-noodle that many places fail at. They also have amazing gyros, sandwiches, fancier Greek salads, and good desert options. The sweet tea packs a lot of flavor, too. Price: It’s affordable, too. Being a cafeteria style restaurant, you have no wait staff to tip, and the food is already reasonably priced. One of the few places you can leave stuffed for less than $10. And this place is perfect for a quick bite at lunch, since you pay at the counter when you order, you don’t have to wait for a waiter to get the check. Can be in and out in less than 10 minutes, if you choose. Or just relax and hang out for a bit. Hours: Open as late as 3am sometimes, and open early enough to call my 4-way with onion “breakfast” sometimes! Staff: Friendly and familiar. Good people who care about their restaurant. I see the owner of the place in there from time to time, checking up on people eating there. 100% A+. Dixie chili is the best!
