Had a great 1 night stay in a superior deluxe room. Very clean and tidy with great decor and furnishings. Kate was lovely and cooked amazing scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast.
Next time I stay here I will make sure the restaurant is open as the menu looks delicious.
Great location with a public pay and display car park literally across the road and a 2 minute walk into the High Street

Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a super friendly and attentive staff, who offered us a very private area with our little baby.
My eldest son has a number of allergies, he took great care at going through the menu and adapting it to our needs. Truly thorough and thoughtful.
The food came and it completely exceeded our expectations, presentation, quality, taste and portion all 5/5!
Will definitely return and I would highly recommend it!

Had a fantastic meal here the other night.
Table of 4. The service was spot on, the lady who was serving us was extremely friendly and chatty. Males a nice change having waiting staff with a smile.
You can really tell they enjoy their job and take pride in their work.
The food.....well the food was just out of this world. I'm super fussy with food and very critical, however there is not one part of the evening I can fault.
Fantastic food, lovely cocktails, amazing staff and service.
This place is a real testament to the owners and their love for their restaurant. Love a local small business making such an effort. Far better than any large chain.

Amazing stay at this wonderful hotel. The owner Dean makes you feel very welcome, with rooms that boast a ton of character and charm. This is the second stay with my wife and Daughter and I couldn’t speak more highly of this establishment. One top tip! Book a night in the restaurant, as this is really the crown jewel. The food is unbelievable and yet to find anywhere on the Island that can compete.
We went for an evening meal last night with our parents and had a lovely evening. The service was excellent and the restaurant had a really nice atmosphere. The cocktails were amazing, best cocktails we have had in ages. I had the pork belly and it was delicious, so tasty and cooked to perfection. The desserts were delicious to.
We will definitely be eating at Hewitt's again and highly recommend to anyone that wants a delicious meal. Thanks for a fantastic evening.

I recently stayed at Hewitt's Restaurant & Rooms and had a wonderful experience overall. The hotel's location was excellent, with easy access to attractions, shopping, and dining. The staff, especially Honey, was exceptional, providing warm and attentive service throughout our stay.
The room was comfortable, but it would have been better with a fan for additional airflow. Despite this minor issue, everything else was great.
I would love to go back because of its location, and amazing staff. Highly recommended for a memorable stay in Isle of Wight.
Great stay. Room was comfortable. Bathroom was a bit basic and the shower leaked water onto the floor, plus there was no hand rail to hold to get in or out. Staff was incredibly friendly and the food was incredible. Whether you need a place to stay the night or simply want to enjoy a delicious dinner, this is THE spot to be in Newport.
Room comfy. Service very good. Food delicious. Spent a very relaxing few days here. The restaurant is near the town centre, but still in a quiet location. Highly recommended
This was my second visit to Hewitt's and definitely will not be my last. I stayed in Room 3 again for 2 nights (Friday - Sunday), but this time with the room made into a twin room to accommodate me and my daughter. This service was offered at the time of my booking without me requesting it which was a nice touch. The room it's self is very clean and well maintained. Considering the room is at the front of the building with a road in front there was minimal noise from traffic/people walking back.
We had breakfast Sunday morning and the selection was great and the cooked offerings were lovely.
I am always sad to leave but know that I will always be greater with a smile from Dean and the Team when we return.
