We fell upon this little gem as we were wandering round as my other half had his heart set on fish and chips for his tea. I'm not usually so keen but I really enjoyed the food here. Unfortunately, I decided to share my portion with my daughter. I could quite easily have devoured the whole lot as the fish was delicious and moist. There is a TV on the wall in the restaurant which had CBeebies on for the kids, great idea! Then the lady came and offered a packet of sweets for the kids to eat once they had cleared their plate (of if the parents said they had eaten enough). It was nice to eat from a proper plate with metal cutlery and my cuppa tea in a proper mug! Fabulous place.
Just had our second lot of fish and chips this holiday. Excellent value, and best fish and chips we have ever had. My hubby doesnt even like chips but loved these. Small fish and chips for only £4, cant be beaten, well done. See you next year!

Been past it many times over the years - and have missed a treat! Best fish and chips ever. Even a free drink each as I had to wait for plaice to be cooked - but it was so worth it:)

Brilliant. Popped in by accident as we were passing and it was raining. Will now be our first port of call when we come back to Newquay! Battered hake cooked to perfection and chips done 'just right'. Service cannot be faulted and good value for money.

Food is second to none, visited twice during our recent holiday and enjoyed our meal by the bowling green looking out to sea! Fresh cooked fish, and the chips were great too, and I dont even usually like chips! Definitely be back. Excellent. See you next year.

Excellent little fish and chip shop. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, all serving with a smile. Food is reasonable priced and was delicious. Will definitely come again next time we're in Newquay

Went into Truscotts on Monday lunchtime to have a cod & chips takeaway. Guy taking the order was very pleasant & confirmed the ingredients before we ordered. Fish (cod) & chips was cooked lovely & as it had started to rain we were able to sit at one of the tables & chairs inside. Good quality wooden forks were provided for us to eat our meal & the service was very pleasant. Would go back there again.
Nice chippy with good portion sizes even on the specials. Has seating inside and a toilet if required. Can get busy at lunchtime in the summer but worth the wait for good priced fish and chips.
Absolutely brilliant food cooked to perfection very friendly and welcoming staff. I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Tasty cod and chips for husband and Pie, chips and peas for me. All with gravy. :-)Visited here on 17/08/22 whilst on holiday. Was not disappointed and one guy serving was polite and order process very efficient considering there was a big queue. We went at diner time which is until 2pm then re opens later for tea. Check times before you go. Would recommend

Excellent food, good prices and very friendly staff. Does a small portion of fish and chips for those with a smaller appetite for £6, instead of having to buy a huge portion in other chippys. Definitely the place to go for fish and chips in Newquay.
Went there with my 3 friends and we all had a superb time. I got the hake and cod which were both delicious and soft, chips were great too. However the best part was service of the couple working, they were so friendly it was beyond belief, I would recommend this place to everybody.
Always good, best place for fish and chips in Newquay. Hands down. Right in the centre of town so really conveniently positioned for a quick snack if you're out and about in the town. Friendly staff and great tasting haddock! What more could you ask for? Oh and don't forget to sit on the beach when you tuck in!!
