Wax Watergate Bay

We booked for a meal. Had great friendly service and food arrived as quickly as I'd expect. Was dog friendly and fairly buzzing. Wonderful location. Yes you order at the bar, not a problem. We had the chicken burgers. Wings and a special the bonfire burger. All good quality hot and fresh. Perfect after a day walking and surfing

Had a lovely meal here, the food was really tasty with gosport sizes and such a lovely atmosphere! There was good music playing and the staff were all really friendly! I had the Bay burger which was delicious as were the chips it came with. Say outside watching all the surfers come and go from the carpark.

Been to WAX more times than I can count. At Christmas they have a log burner going - perfect after a dog walk and chilly surf, in the summer it's chilled and lots of seating available. Food is always great, service is always fantastic. We'll always be back - seems like the "bad" reviews are when the whole place is heaving, and everywhere will be struggling to keep up.

Was a fine place. Buzzing with people. Had an interesting situation where the waitress handed our order of food, (which was one order of chips that took about 40 minutes to someone else), some food was taken by the other person, it was returned to the waitress as that person didn’t order it, and then about 2 minutes later it appeared on our table. They didn’t take it off the bill, never said anything, no apology, etc. (maybe they didn’t realize I watched the situation) etc. I’ve never had a situation like this happen. She laughed when it happened. Nevertheless, tasted fine. Probably just a fluke and perhaps the young lady was new to the job.
