A true hidden gem - what I like to call a "proper pub". We visited twice during our holiday in Newquay. The welcome from the staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was brilliant - all home cooked and proper pie - no puff pastry lids here! The second time I had a burger - lovely and moist and the onion rings were to die for.
Happily accommodated 16 of us for a birthday celebration carvery lunch. Incredible food, cosy atmosphere and friendly staff.
Went with the kids. Staff were very warming and the food was excellent. My sons had steak, scampi and chicken nuggets. I had lasagne and Couldn't have asked for any better. Perfect all round.
