Fabulous lovely friendly welcoming pub! 1st time visit to the Tavern for me... Mum and daughter lunch!
Log fire (bonus) and a warm friendly welcome from the nice barman! Excellent menu choice, we opted for the lunch time special 2for£10 excellent choice I had beef casserole and the daughter had chicken casserole WOW! Well presented and a very good portion size! Tasted amazing!
We managed to squeeze in a dessert chocolate cake and ice cream � fabulous!
I will defiantly be returning and will defiantly recommend highly! Thank you to the barman today excellent service �

A true hidden gem - what I like to call a "proper pub". We visited twice during our holiday in Newquay. The welcome from the staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was brilliant - all home cooked and proper pie - no puff pastry lids here! The second time I had a burger - lovely and moist and the onion rings were to die for.

Went with the kids. Staff were very warming and the food was excellent. My sons had steak, scampi and chicken nuggets. I had lasagne and Couldn't have asked for any better. Perfect all round.

Had an amazing dinner. Staff popped over a couple of times to make sure everything was ok. Dog was spoilt with treats too.

Great food very freindly staff found this by accident we was struggling to get something to eat as lots of people only taking bookings .
The pub is off the main road with lots of parking and nice gardens front and rear .
Looked very popular when we arrived and food was great with a large menu avalable along with a Sunday carvery we will definitely be returning .
The dishes we orderd was mixed grill and chicken bacon and mushroom tagliatelle off the specials board

Best homemade steak pie and mash. Followed by sticky toffee pudding and custard. Proper portions and lovely food. Always call when on hols.👍🏻👍🏻

We called here whilst on holiday in Newquay. What a pub really good food, large portions , and friendly staff. Open mic night so really entertaining. A definite must call in.

Visited on a Tuesday for lunch had a wonderful mixed grill very tasty. The staff were very pleasant too. There is a nice sized outside area and plenty of indoor seating too. I would highly recommend visiting for a tasty meal.
