Bought some traditional pasties, plus cheese and onion, plus chicken to bring. Home to derbyshire. Had a traditional one each once at home. The best I have ever tasted. Wish now we had bought more. They were delicious

OMG, That is the best traditional Cornish pastry I have ever had! It it’s meaty with right amount of vegetables and spices inside and crispy on the outside. Meat is cooked nicely and it is not chewy. I have tried also a chicken variant and it was delicious too not mention sausage roll, my kids loved it, hot or cold, they ate them all. Love it!!! Thank you Warrens you made my holiday!

Bought a pack of Saffron Cakes, a Newquay delicacy, other stores selling big loafs so good to just get a taste.

What a crimp? Usually more pastry makes it less tasty but this big lump won’t end in a grump. Pretty good.

Situated at the harbour end of the High Street, this is where you'll find the greatest concentration of pasty shops in Newquay. Having tried a lot of the other brands, I still think Warrens do the best pasties. The pastry is firm, not hard, and the fillings are moist and creamy. They do a variety of different fillings. Apart from the traditional steak, they do Thai, Mexican, chicken, minty lamb, cheese and onion, plus other limited edition ones at times. Quite a few are vegan too. This particular shop is small. There's a step up to get in, so not wheelchair accessible. Apart from the pasties, there's a reasonable choice of cakes, cookies and fresh bread plus hot and cold drinks. The lady that served me was very cheerful and happy, and it's a marked improvement on the East Street branch. If you only want to takeaway this is a better place to go.
