It’s been about twenty years since I was last here, and it’s still a fabulous little restaurant. The food was cooked to perfection, the staff were lovely and friendly and the dessert (not pictured because I dived in too quickly) was heavenly. Highly recommend 😃

We eat here on a regular basis. The food is excellent. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is cosy, yet the tables are well spaced out. I highly recommend the Elizabethan. You would not be disappointed.

A gem of a restaurant tucked away down a narrow country road. Food portions were very generous and absolutely delicious. Staff were very helpful. Only slight negative was that it was very quiet, only 3 other tables dining so not much of an atmosphere. There was a nice soundtrack of quiet music in the background though. Would recommend to anyone who doesn't mind paying the higher end for amazing quality food.

Excellent as usual. One of our guests commented that the Sunday lunch was as near to home cooked as he had ever tasted in a restaurant*****

Went to a birthday party there. It was wonderful. We had a carvery. The lamb was gorgeous. They even brought out extra roast potatoes and veg! Fantastic atmosphere. Beautiful setting and good food. What more could you want?

Fabulous meal for our wedding anniversary weekend, at one of our favourite places in the area. We shared tiger prawns to start which were covered in the lightest batter I’ve ever had. Our venison ragout was exceptional and the vegetables delicious. We couldn’t manage a pudding so I had coffee which was also rather tasty. Good selection of wine, and drinks from the bar. The restaurant is very prettily decorated, the atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, the staff are friendly and helpful, service is quick but not rushed, in all making this a lovely place to be. We visited again on 30 December and have once again enjoyed a stunning meal. We love this place! Our tiger prawn starter was just as good as our previous visit, my seafood risotto was divine and my husband’s Moroccan Chicken was amazing. We had to indulge in desserts and were not disappointed by the cheesecake and lemon chaboust which were both delicious. Can’t wait to visit again soon.

What a find, hidden away down a typical Devon narrow lane but we'll worth a visit. The building has a beautiful extension which can hold large parties. I cannot tell you how good the food here is, exquisite! Every plate finished and every belly full. Your plate will be full of spectacular quality food. The service, second to non, honestly the friendliest service I have had from anywhere. Charming pub, charming service, beautiful food. Book a table and enjoy !
