Ample parking, excellent food and reasonable prices. Friendly, helpful and attentive staff.
Went as a part of a large family group, plenty of space for us, despite it being busy. Prompt service and a relaxed atmosphere.
Starter portions were enormous!
Carvery was very generous and well cooked, other mains were also excellent.
Desserts delicious.

Met with friends whilst on holiday and they recommended you. As we had the carvery it's difficult to score service but we were greeted pleasantly and shown to our seats. Meal was quite nice and very generous with the meat

Been going here for years. Always make a point of including this restaurant when we visit family in the area. The carvery is truly the best we have ever eaten. The selection of meat is good, and the variety of different vegetables you are really spoilt for choice.. We have recommended this place to many of our friends, and everyone who has visited has said how good it was.
I would suggest if you are going that you book

We enjoyed our visit to The Hare & Hounds, for a celebration lunch of our mother's 80th Birthday. We were impressed with the quality of the food, particularly the superb carvery. A grateful thanks to the chefs. We were also impressed with the efficiency of the waiting staff, who were always mindful and helpful... THANK YOU to you all! We will be returning!

Lovely outside area with lots of seating. Beautiful veranda with grapes growing up them. Nice low lighting inside with plenty of spaces for people to sit. Staff are very helpful with assisting directions in the massive place. New kids play area with bark chippings on the ground. Quiet spot.

What a great place. We ate here years ago for my birthday but this time we had our dog, so made a call and found out they're dog friendly. Booked in, arrived and they made a great fuss of our dog. Treats and some meat cuts were brought over much to our pooches delight. The staff were lovely, the food was awesome. My 1 and only gripe would be that service was not great, quite slow and we never got asked for repeat drinks, ended up going to the bar. Also slow to clear table between courses. Best brandy coffee I've had tho 👍

Very nice food and great service, the decor is clean and stylish. Turkey Vlub sandwich with Fries was very good. Also, the Munkfish and Prawn Curry was excellent, spice level reasonably spicy (less than madras/more than tikka massala). The carvery looked good, and I will be back for that soon! The vanilla cheese cake and pear taste were also excellent.

Absolutely fantastic place which we have discovered quite by accident. The food was superb, the vegetarian burger was one of the best I’ve had so far- finally something that did not taste and look like cardboard.
The service was superb, we were attended to right away and there was no problem whatsoever. The staff were very friendly but not overwhelming. The atmosphere was relaxed but not too pub-like. We had a lovely evening with friends. Thank you ever so much.

As far as roasts go this is one of the best! The joints of meat they have are exceptional and are cooked to perfection. The food is served as a buffet style which isn’t to everyone’s liking but I am happy with that. Potatoes are fluffy and tasty and the price is excellent. £38 for 2 roasts and 2 drinks. The staff are great and always look after you.

Booked a table for three for 6pm on a Monday evening. Not too busy in the car park when we arrived, but by 6.30pm the restaurant was three-quarters full. It seemed like the majority of the clientele were there for their famous carvery, including my two dining companions. For me it was pork belly, resting on a bed of mustard grain mash sat in apple gravy. Delicious!
One slight disappointment seems to be that the sweet trolley is a thing of the past. I was always a fan of seeing their selection of desserts wheeled to the table for you to make your selection. No matter - my choice of sticky toffee pudding, sat on a caramel sauce with clotted cream hit the spot.
All in all I left feeling content, but not bloated. I am never less than impressed by the food or service in all my years of dining at The Hare & Hounds.
