We took our friends from Portsmouth for meal on Friday lunchtime, everyone was very impressed with the food, service could have been a bit better as we had a long wait between courses, and the prices. A nice time was had by all.

We have our weekly office meetings here and they have ale in a barrel which is cracking! Lovely building and easy to find and get too. Never eaten here but the food smells incredible

Excellent food, great price and lovely location. We really enjoyed our visit here. The only downside was it took over 75 minutes to get our food. We politely asked how much longer and the young lad who works there (dark hair, tall , aged about 17) was so rude to us! Raising his voice and saying we are busy and you are a larger party. There were seven of us and we had been waiting a long, long time. However, when they brought our food out the older members of staff were very apologetic and the meal was lovely.

We visited the pub twice within a week,great service from all the young staff.Debbie was great , she controlled the restaurant and bar , efficiently and was very friendly. Highly recommend,great food at fair prices . Desserts are a must.

Tried this place for the first time on Saturday.
The restaurant is in the oldest part of the building with its old stone walls, wooden beams and decor to suit. Due to the age of the building the restaurant was a little warm but not stifling. The food was lovely with good sized portions. The staff were attentive and were able to answer any questions we had. Service was prompt even though the restaurant was busy.
