For me , Turkish food is always great as it’s a comfort food that includes hummus tahini salad and meat…. A lot of meat but I have to say that this restaurant not only have a special food but an amazing service and atmosphere. We have been treated by the manager since we arrived with so much respect and care. This restaurant is a must visit if you visit Devon and glad for the locals to have a place with such a warm and loving place to go to and definitely excellent value to your money! Thank you for having us !

The first time in Meddy Grill & Meze, and it was because of the positive reviews on TripAdvisor. They truly live up to the comments. We went to celebrate my birthday, and I couldn't have chosen a better place. The service is excellent, very helpful and attentive to ensure nothing is lacking and everything is good. The food is fresh and very well seasoned, delicious. Generous portions and all at a reasonable price. 100% recommended 👌

My wife and I have dined here before. The first time we didn't have a reservation but they squeezed us in and made us feel extremely welcome. The food, drink and service were all superb. This time round, we arrived earlier when they were less busy. Even though we still didn't have a reservation, we were still made to feel hugely welcome. The rest is the same as the first time. It's hard to describe without gushing or getting all flowery, but they've just got it sorted. The service is on point, accurate, attentive and efficient. And the food..... The food is superb. Amazing flavour, great presentation, the correct temperature on serving. I could go on. It's just damn good. And that really doesnt do it justice, but I can't think of a different way to word it.

OUTSTANDING. Great location with a really welcoming set of staff. Quickly seated and order for drinks taken whilst we perused the menu. Extensive. What a wonderful delightful selection. All you could possibly wish for. Invitation to watch the chef at work from behind glass of the open kitchen. Great. The starters were plentiful and a really wide selection. We chose the hot as well as the cold platter. Really well prepared and well presented. Main courses were timed so we were clearing starters as the main course arrived. And what a delight they were. Plenty of cross plate sharing went on. Beautifully cooked with sauce/glaze that enhanced every mouthful. Chops were succulent and tender, chicken was better than just' chicken. Rice was good and salad probably just too much to deal with so don't complain things were not generous. The atmosphere in the whole restaurant for the whole evening reflected the effort put in by the owner and his team. Really excellent, relaxed and jolly. I wholly recommend this place for an evening with family or friends for a really great evening out. Well done to all at the restaurant, you made a great event. Thank you.

Fantastic mezze in the centre of Newton Abbot, serving Turkish halal food with all the usual classics and a number of chef specials. The food was all cooked to perfection on the charcoal grill, with good sized portions and great mix of flavours. Although they serve alcoholic drinks, all cocktails are available as mocktails. The only two classics missing with ayran and Turkish tea, though the owner have is some of his own Turkish tea 👌🏻 Oh and you have to try the baklava, which he makes himself! Definitely recommended - we'll be back

Arrived for an early reservation with a group of 8. The team were extremely eager to serve, albeit to the point where having one server take drinks and another simultaneously take food orders at either side of the table created some confusion. Regardless, intentions were good, and the restaurant filled up very quickly with weekend guests, demonstrating it's popularity. Coming from London, I can say the mixed grill rivals those situated in London's Green Lanes, where you'll find the best and most authentic Turkish food. The Lamb Chops are a highlight you won't want to miss.
