The County is first class in everything it does, we have stayed there a few times and we are just back from a recent visit. We stayed in room 4 and could not find fault in anything. Or evening meal being their famous steak and ale pie was perfect as was the morning breakfast, all staff were really nice and made you feel so welcome. Sadly Sunday evening was quiz night and the question were too hard.😵💫😵💫 Looking forward to our next visit and would recommend it to any visitors in that area. Marty & Trudi Griffin North Norfolk
Excellent evening - great food & fab service. It was quite noisy because it was busy (Thurs night), but that's the only way it will survive. There were some unusual special additions available on top of every-day menu - monkfish & spinach tart for a starter & venison main. For pie-lovers, the homemade steak & ale pie is a must.
Met friends for lunch. Easy venue to find. Good parking facilities available at rear. Helpful and friendly staff. Good choice of menu, nice food.
We stayed here after visiting a relative in the area. The room was a little small, but it was very clean and had everything you needed. The staff were lovely and friendly, especially Sam, who served us with a delicious brekkie. She was very chatty , which made breakfast pleasant
Nice place, staff friendly, food was very nice, I had the pollock with new potatoes though I would have preferred a couple of other vegetables too. The treacle tart was delicious
Stayed here on my last 3 days on business in Middlesbrough and found a little gem, great service, great food and really nice accommodation. Can’t praise the staff and owners enough for a little jewel in the north east.
Lovely food on lunch time and couldn't fault the service. Little bit more pricey than other local restaurants in the area. Inside seatings area in parts are a bit dark even with the lights on.
Extremely friendly, helpful staff. Good sized room and bathroom with bath. Great breakfast.
Easy parking
We went as a group of 8 for Sunday lunch as we were staying nearby for my 40th birthday celebrations.
The food was lovely with great portions overall, although 2 slices of lamb seemed a little mean considering the price but the fabulous Alex who served us sorted out a free dessert as he said they should have had 3 slices despite us asking if 2 was right.
Would definitely book there again if we stayed close enough.
First time here, absolutely recommend this place. 3 course meal absolutely 100%. Staff couldn't do enough for you. We all enjoyed our birthday meal, and although we didn't ask, the birthday girl got her pudding with a sparkling candle in it and the waiter and everybody close by sang happy birthday, wonderful time.
