Highly recommend a trip to Express Cafe. Exactly what a local cafe ought to be! Great food, great prices, lovely staff.

We regularly get food delivered by the express cafe and we can't recommend them enough.
They cater for multiple dietary requirements, have decent portion sizes and the food is always delicious. The charitable contributions they did (and continue to do) over the pandemic was inspirational and its a lovely option to be able to pay a hot meal or drink forward.

A little slow getting my coffee order out but saying that was good coffee and they taped the to go cups so nothing would spill.
Had a slice of cake which was pretty much half a cake. Got your money worth. But Was very dry and hard, and couldn't eat it im afraid.

Eaten here lots of time and only once ever had an issue with the food which they quickly sorted. Reasonably priced, lovely friendly staff who go the extra mile to help customers with anything they need. They d

Lovely cafe with covered outdoor seating. Food/staff excellent. Only downfall is the toilet. The cafe is busy most days & entrance to the toilet means passing /queuing alongside tables where people are eating etc. Not nice at all. The toilet does need updating/cleansing etc.

Arrived around 10 on a Saturday morning. Fairly quiet so plenty of room. There are tables under cover outside as well. Cafe was clean and well presented. Light and airy.
Breakfast menu is quite good. 6 set breakfasts as well as a couple of other choices including vegetarian options and muffins etc.
The rest of the menu has a lot of options from sandwiches to roast dinners.
Ordered set breakfast 2 from a very pleasant gentleman. 2 bacon, 2 sausage, egg, beans and 2 slices of toast. With a mug of coffee it came to £9.45 so fairly reasonable.
Breakfast was freshly cooked, hot and really nice. Coffee was hot and fresh as well.
Only complaint, the table was very sticky. I couldn't move my plate or coffee. The plate actually stu k to the table.
Would I return? Yes. Overall a good experience.

Whilst visiting Newtown we found this gem of a cafe. Really friendly service and delicious food. Really amazing value and I can not recommend enough. We will be back on our next visit for sure.

Stayed locally and didn't fancy going out. Ordered a delivery. Arrived quickly and piping hot. Homemade lasagne was delicious and my wife had the cottage pie also home made. Thoroughly recommended!

Possibly the best cafe in Newtown! I always try and get a seat here whenever I want to eat in town (not always possible as it’s so popular!) and I’m never disappointed. The food is always superb and portion sizes amazing! I usually go for the veggie breakfast which I love - today I decided on a baked potato thinking it would be a lighter lunch but actually still got an amazing full plate! Often hard to finish as they are so generous. Staff are so helpful and friendly! I love it!
