My daughter, my grandson and myself had lunch today at "Bank Cottage" what a lovely, homely and cosy place it is and we had a lovely tasty lunch and what lovely friendly staff. ..will definitely return.

I had the most delicious soup, and friendly service. Nice atmosphere, however I did find the radio volume really too loud for a quiet tea room and asked if it could be turned down, which it was with no problems. Overall - lovely and good choice of food.
Delicious lunch out with the hubby here today. He gets to be a happy meat eating mediteranian fella whilst my awkward veggie gluten free needs are catered for fully. We even got to sit outside in the sunshine. Great friendly service too. What's not to like!
Wow... This place is TINY! And quirky! A real place of character - with the history literally oozing out of the walls.
The food was simple, but well-done. Homemade soup, homemade quiche and salad. Gorgeous chorizo sausage with potatoes and eggs. Good quality ingredients, but not huge portions - having said that, I wasn't hungry afterwards.
Prices were OK, not cheap, but not too expensive.
Staff were friendly and helpful - chatty but very businesslike and efficient.
The next time I'm in Newtown I'd be happy to go back for another round.
I’ve had breakfast at a lot of establishments in town and this was the best by far. Pleasant atmosphere friendly staff, you get that little bit extra that only a family run business can give. Highly recommended.
Nice food and cost atmosphere with good prices but a nearby group seemed to have everything wrong with their order, and it was a bit stressful being near that as it got sorted out. Our meal took a while to come but the owners were friendly and it was very tasty when it arrived, although the portions are a bit small (reflecting the small prices). Perhaps more of a lunch portion.
What a wonderful place to visit. The filter coffee was perfect and the coconut cake was amazing. Great price as well. We will definitely return!
Lovely little place. We sat outside & had a pleasant interlude. The scones with the cream tea were delicious.
Our first visit to a very pleasant restaurant with good food and a wide range of freshly prepared choices. We will return soon.
Very attentive service catering to my lactose intolerance and also being coeliac offering a great range of different cakes etc.
