Einstein Bros. Bagels

The most senior worker (older black lady) was incredibly rude and confrontational. On multiple occasions when I’ve gone to this location she has given not only me but other students attitude. When I asked for a dairy-free bagel (which is advertised in their display case) she tried to argue with me that all bagels have dairy in them. I informed her that that’s not true and that if they don’t offer dairy-free bagels the sticker should be removed. She responded by telling me “that’s something you’ll need to talk to the supervisor about.” Her attitude not only made this interaction incredibly negative unnecessarily but also made those around us uncomfortable.

Ordered a drink and sandwich, paid, went to eat and stuff was missing. I asked for the missing item on the side and was told they were out of it... would have liked to know that before I paid 12$ for a meal that wasn’t made complete. Two stars because I know it’s not the works fault items are out but also, let us know if you are missing items.

Being a ODU student, I have been here a good number of times and each time the service has been good. Granted, they do have days where the service can be as slow as molasses, but they are generally good at making your food in a timely manner and it is generally really good. One time I ordered a sandwich and the lady working there accidentally got it wrong. I said it was fine and I could have the one she made. She said that she would make the one I originally ordered and so I got two sandwiches; one of them being free! So if you're in the area and are hungry, give this place a visit!

Too much commotion for a simple drink. I usually enjoy going to Einstein, but I'm never going back after today. A female employee was obnoxiously loud (using profanity) somewhere behind the counter, but I didn't care too much about that and went ahead and ordered my drink. Got my drink and noticed the whipped cream on it. Kindly asked the person who made my drink to just scrap it off, since I'm lactose intolerant. She went to ask the person who took my order if I wanted whipped cream and he said "no" and showed her the paper. Anyway, still not that big of a deal until the obnoxiously loud girl noticed her taking back my drink and ASSUMED I had asked to get a new one made. So she started getting all obnoxiously loud again and kept repeating, "Don't make another one! Don't do it! Don't do it!" She finally shut up after the girl told her I only wanted it scrapped off.

Enough with the bad reviews. I’ve seriously been going here religiously for a year, yes if you’re in a hurry they take a while but that’s why tapingo was invented! If your order is specific they have a comments box which I use and if the extras you need require an upcharge they will charge you like they should no more no less. EVERYTHING here is great and I’ve had just about all of it. There is one guy that works there sometimes who is just an a** and will say “this isn’t Starbucks, it’s not a Frappuccino here it’s a frozen caramel macchiato” but I’m not mad lmao.
