After hearing about this place I thought I’d visit The Puffin today after been Birding at The Scottish Seabird Centre. I only went for a drink at the back at the bar and thought the place was really nice. Nice friendly staff too I will definitely come back and maybe have a meal here sometime.

Fresh seafood and wonderful cocktails. Very good value for money as well as the generous portion of the cod. Good location close to West (Bay) Beach.
Had a lovely dinner at The Puffin, with fantastic friendly service and a good time had all round. Great food, particularly the Cullen Skink and the seafood platter which were both superb. Dog friendly, and would definitely recommend for a relaxing bite to eat.
On our first visit to North Berwick we dined at the Puffin on our first evening.
Caroline had the lobster, whilst I had fish and chips (I know I'm not adventurous) both meals were excellent.
Good service and a pleasant ambiance.

Food and service was premium, thoroughly enjoyed our food. The service was very attentive. The light background music was just right but as we were there mid afternoon I feel we didnt really get to feel what its like when its busier.

What a great place this is. We'd been before but that was last year for lunch but decided to drop in for an evening meal. We were told beforehand that they only had one chef on so it may take a little longer, but actually we were really happy with that as it was a nice leisurely meal. They gave our little dog some water and a treat then took our orders. Tge kids both had sirloin steak, my wife a chicken/ham/bacon special and I had a tuna steak. The meal was fabulous with not a single grumble off the kids either. Clean plates all round and the staff were excellent. Can't recommend it enough for innovative food, welcoming atmosphere and reasonable prices for fresh, quality produce. Thanks for treating us all so well 👍
Friendly staff, a good menu and nice ambiance. The set lunch menu was good value, but i was distracted by cullen skink soup and my queen scallops. My wife’s mussels and fries was lovely from the set menu. I had a quick look round and the fish and chips option was also looking good with puffy crisp batter. Shame really that my diet only allowed me to have one main course!
There was a good selection of gluten free options.
Pleasant ambience here and attentive service. Food was well presented and much enjoyed. My roast aubergine was rather oily. Could that have been avoided? It was tasty as were other veg in ratatouille. Much enjoyed visit.
We needed a place to rest yesterday as we were waiting for the train back to Edinburgh. The phone was also out of battery and when we came to this place, the owner was kind enough to help us charge it up. The room was very warm and welcoming. The cocktail is also very good. Many thanks.
Delicious lunch at The Puffin. We had the beer battered haddock, the batter was so light and crispy, one of the best I've had. Husband had the halibut and enjoyed it. Good service from nice staff, would definitely return. And the dog even got a Bonio!
