I visited this establishment yesterday lunchtime. I ordered two adult meals and two child's meals. Was asked to check the receipt which I did and paid. When the meals came only one child's meal was brought. The waiter Jack went and ordered another and came back with a second plate so the boys could share while another was being cooked. When I checked my receipt I had only paid for one child's meal so it was totally my fault for not checking it properly when I paid. I offered to pay for the second but Jack said he had sorted it with the manager. Excellent customer service. A well cooked meal and a generous portion for the children. We will return.
Lovely place to eat out, food is amazing, staff are very friendly and service is quick and efficient. We would recommend to our family and friends. Plus lovely indoor and outdoor area for children.
The sandpaper is a really nice comfortable pub with a cozy atmosphere. There is an excellent selection of cask conditioned real ale, not all food orientated pubs have this. The results are a good selection of other beers lager and cider. The wine selection is wide and varied and reasonably priced. We booked a table for a large family gathering. It was already when we arrived. Our relatives from overseas and us really enjoyed the meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The service was quick and deficient we have been here a few times for family get togethers. I have also been here for classic car meets Midweek during the summer. We have always been made very welcome. There is very large free car park around the pub. Highly recommended.
A little out the way for us but we got the 30% off voucher through the door so thought we'd give it a go as it's been many years. We both had a burger and it was really nice, all hot and didn't have to wait too long. Lovely calm atmosphere, just right temperature and comfortable seating. The place is a little pricey which is half expected from it's location but with an offer is pretty much on par with others. I'd definitely tell someone just to try it, we enjoyed it. Thanks Sandpiper and their staff.
Although the sandpiper is looking tired in its decor, the service received from the friendly and attentive staff makes up for it.
The menu is large with typical pub favourites.
The portions are good and the quality is good.
Overall a great place to go and enjoy a nice meal with family or friends whilst being well looked after thank you,
As usual food was lovely only thing is we had to wait nearly an hour for it to arrive. Staff friendly the venue very clean. Glasses and bottles could have been collected sooner rather than leave them on the table till the meal was finished as there where a few on the table taking up space. This is my favourite place to eat but was surprised at the wait for food. I will go back
Fast efficient service. Food was great quality . Steak done to perfection. Mushrooms and tomatoes were tasty. I thought it was excellent value.We will definitely be back!!
Came to the Sandpiper a few weeks ago with my partner and we both ordered a burger and some loaded fries, pleasantly surprised with how nice the food was. The service was also spot on, would recommend families/couples to come here! Nice quiet area also which was good! Lovely
A nice atmosphere in here with great service from all the tea. The food was excellent, we went for the gammon and humongous burger which were both really well cooked and nicely presented. It's simple pub food but that's what we wanted.
The staff did give us a table in a quiet location as requested and also put some twinkly lights on which my wife appreciated. All in all, couldn't fault it and will go back. Oh, it has a large car park too as you'll need to drive there.
Our usual cheery welcome with knowledgable staff who know our food order by memory now! Very good service and excellent food. Lovely relaxing surroundings for a meal at the end of a busy week. Well done Paul and the team.
A group of 6, seated outside at our request because we had a dog with us and the weather was nice. Food was tasty, good size portions and great value. We’ll be back as it was much improved since our last visit. Only negative was the speed of our main course, it took longer than we expected, but the restaurant was busy
