Although the sandpiper is looking tired in its decor, the service received from the friendly and attentive staff makes up for it. The menu is large with typical pub favourites. The portions are good and the quality is good. Overall a great place to go and enjoy a nice meal with family or friends whilst being well looked after thank you,

The sandpaper is a really nice comfortable pub with a cozy atmosphere. There is an excellent selection of cask conditioned real ale, not all food orientated pubs have this. The results are a good selection of other beers lager and cider. The wine selection is wide and varied and reasonably priced. We booked a table for a large family gathering. It was already when we arrived. Our relatives from overseas and us really enjoyed the meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The service was quick and deficient we have been here a few times for family get togethers. I have also been here for classic car meets Midweek during the summer. We have always been made very welcome. There is very large free car park around the pub. Highly recommended.

Came with family and a dog for a teatime birthday treat. The four in our group chose a variety of curries. Utilising the offer of a curry and a drink. We had about 45 to 50 minutes to wait for the food after ordering, albeit when it came it was very hot and tasty. With a large soft pillow of Naan bread and a crispy poppadom. With apple crumble and sticky toffee pudding, all with custard for afters, what could be better than that. The Sandpiper was just starting to fill up at around 8 o'clock as we were leaving, but wasn't noisy and the atmosphere was still quiet. We all had a good meal and enjoyed it immensely. The meal was delicious and we all enjoyed it

A nice freindly atmosphere. The food was exceptional, with great flavours and quality. The pub now allows dogs in certain areas, which is why we have started using the pub again. Great staff who couldn't do enough for us.

Just finished fish and chips and still drinking a pint of Neck Oil. Can't fault either, and for just shy of 20 quid I don't think you can go wrong. Service was great (with a smile), friendly and prompt. Solid pub and good atmosphere. Will be back.

Second time this month we have visited much busier than usual with the promotion on, we used the voucher both times and enjoyed our meals as always, it took about 30mins which is no surprise Sandpiper can be busy when offers are on, staff great as always. Will be back soon

Our journey to the Sandpiper on a rainy day involved a bit of confusion as we navigated down the dual carriageway. Thankfully, it was late and not too busy. Once we arrived, we were greeted by a warm and welcoming pub atmosphere, and the staff were exceptional. Despite the soggy start, it turned out to be a pleasant and memorable visit.

Very disappointed with the food, warm and uninviting had to send it back we preferred to get our money back. Staff were lovely cannot fault them, will not be returning again

The pub has recently been decorated and it is stunning. The layout means it was perfect for our family to take a quiet corner. The food was good quality pub grub.

very nice food was quiet when we went in on a sunday dinner time but was getting busy when we left . very helpful staff.

Disappointing meal today ....BBQ pork hash was really bland ,and the lettuce in the salad had seen better days...shame as my partners meal was ok...waitress apologised and was very friendly but we still had to pay the whole amount for our meal...Eaten here plenty of times and the food was lovely ....but the pub was empty which was really surprising as its usually packed ....Wont be returning in a hurry

Never again, it was a place the full family enjoyed going, but the last 2 times we have been the food has gone downhill with the portion sizes getting smaller ( but prices staying the same or going up), when food arrives it was cold and steak was over cooked and dry,taken of most popular larger for a more expensive one also. Not a family dining experience I will rush back for.

I visited this establishment yesterday lunchtime. I ordered two adult meals and two child's meals. Was asked to check the receipt which I did and paid. When the meals came only one child's meal was brought. The waiter Jack went and ordered another and came back with a second plate so the boys could share while another was being cooked. When I checked my receipt I had only paid for one child's meal so it was totally my fault for not checking it properly when I paid. I offered to pay for the second but Jack said he had sorted it with the manager. Excellent customer service. A well cooked meal and a generous portion for the children. We will return.

Lovely place to eat out, food is amazing, staff are very friendly and service is quick and efficient. We would recommend to our family and friends. Plus lovely indoor and outdoor area for children.

Tried booking everywhere today (mothers day) and everywhere was full. Thought we'd have a last try here before heading home but wasn't hopeful due to everywhere else being full. We walked in and although they were full they made room and brought out extra tables for our family of 6. The guy on the door was amazing. And had the table ready in minutes. He was extremely friendly and happy to help. We ordered and even though it was busy, the food was brought to us fairly quickly, extremely hot and very well presented not to mention tasted amazing and excellent price. Thank you sandpiper for being so accommodating and the excellent service. Will definitely recommend to others and will definitely visit again �

Well they completely got my order wrong so told me that it would be a five minute wait to then be sat there while everyone was eating and finished there meals and still no food! Went to the bar to cancel my food as didn't feel like eating it in the end and to be told my food was technically free so she didn't have to do anything about it, but would give me a pudding. Was completely rude about it not apologetic at all won't be coming again!

Pleasant helpful staff. Lovely tasty food. Nothing was any trouble for the staff. Would recommend & visit again.

Booked a meal for Boxing Day for 12pm told we had 2 hours for a meal it’s now 1.25pm still waiting for the main over 45 minutes after the starter poor service won’t be back next Christmas sorry was hoping it would be great but all 12 of us are sat fed up

Twenty seven of our family all had lunch together here today. All the food was served as efficiently as possible and everyone enjoyed their meal.

Was really disappointed today got two mixed grills from the special board the meat was tough as hell the eggs well over cooked the waiter was miserable as sin when we asked if he would clean the table. Eaten here often before and always been lovely with friendly staff first time in months we have been back and I would not return again now it seems to have gone down hill unfortunately

Really really disapointing meal yrsterday, have been coming for years but brought my familu last night and ordered the roast beef dinner. Beef arrived as tough as leather couldnt get my knife through it, it says it came with roasted parsnips but they were raw! White and rock hard and compeltley inedible. Mash was cold and i was so disappointed. Told the waitress and she said shed tell the chef abd that was it. Noone came over whilst we were eating to check how things were so there was no opportunity to say it was inedible. Really put me off coming again which is a shame after eating here for years but the quality of food was really poor :(

Always decent food and a great service. Even catered for our huge party of 26 with no problems at all.

Had tea last night, great choice of meals between menu and specials board, food nice, staff very friendly, will definitely dine there again
