We recently had the pleasure of dining at the new inn with a party of four people, and I must say, it was an incredible experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, and the staff members were attentive and friendly throughout our entire visit.
As for the food, it surpassed all our expectations. I decided to try the steak and ale pie, and I was blown away by how delicious it was. The crust was perfectly flaky, and the filling was rich and flavorful. Every bite was a true delight, and I couldn't help but savor each mouthful.
My wife opted for the Korean style barbecue beef, and she was equally impressed. The beef was tender and succulent, with a fantastic blend of sweet and savory flavors. It was evident that great care had been taken in preparing this dish, and it truly paid off.
Overall, both of our meals at the new inn were outstanding. The quality of the ingredients, the skillful execution, and the attention to detail were evident in every aspect of our dining experience. We left the inn feeling satisfied and impressed, eager to return and sample more of their delectable offerings.
If you're looking for a place to enjoy a delicious meal in a welcoming atmosphere, I highly recommend the new inn. Whether you're in the mood for a classic British dish like the steak and ale pie or something with an international twist like the Korean style barbecue beef, this restaurant has it all. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
Myself and two friends went here for Sunday lunch today. It was superb. Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Would like to give a special mention to Wendy, who went the extra mile to make it extra special. Thanks to all staff, each and every one of you. We will definitely be visiting again. 😊
We ate early on Friday evening and the restaurant was very quiet. Food was delicious & staff were friendly and efficient.
Very good value for money.
Went here for the first time on Sunday for my Dad's birthday.
First of all, the staff were absolutely wonderful - very friendly and welcoming.
There were quite a few menu options for a sunday which I appreciated (Sunday menu pictured).
I had the nut terrine (pictured).
So, the gravy, the potatoes and all of the veg was absolutely lovely but unfortunately the nut terrine wasn't very nice, in my opinion anyway.
As a vegetarian I would prefer a veg pie, a veg tart or even just some veggie sausages. Occasionally a nut roast is nice but 9 times out of 10 it's a bit of a flop.
Would definitely come again but not for the nut terrine (sorry!)
A busy Sunday outside watching music 🎶 took 3 staff to serve the queue for drinks, but all sorted politely and swiftly
The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were genuinely lovely.
Really like the decor change since we last came.Service great girls very attentive and our order was out in no time.Food was very well presented and cooked to perfection and plenty of it. Will definitely be coming back soon.

My wife and I went with another couple as a Christmas treat. The other couple had visited the restaurant recently and raved about the food, so we all decided to visit together. We were not disappointed! The food, beer, service and the place itself were all excellent. My wife and I had the braised belly pork and the others had fish and chips. For desert we had the Christmas inspired chocolate orange trifle. Could not fault a thing. Good portion size, served on hot plates. You could appreciate the care the chef had put into each plate of food. Will definitely return soon.
Lovely restaurant, all the staff are very welcoming and helpful
