I have used these guys for a number of years now they have always provided very competitive prices and great products.
Recently I had a problem with a sprayer I purchased. They arranged for it to be collected, we spoke at length about the most suitable/durable replacement sprayer which they sent out next day delivery. Specific thanks to Natalie and Steve!
Visited last week to purchase a Stihl strimmer and hedge trimmer. The lad who served me was very polite and knowledgeable on the Stihl products.
I was also in the market for a mower and hadn’t fully decided which one so I asked for some guidance which was given in a friendly, pressure free manner.
Ended up ordering a Stihl mower via their website after some further online research and after placing the order immediately phoned up to change it from home delivery to store collection. This resulted in issues with staff members not changing the order to store collection correctly however Amy from the machinery / tools department was an absolute godsend and had the issue resolved almost instantly. Incredible customer service from her and she is a credit to the company.
On the whole I’m very happy with Sam Turners and will be returning to them in a few weeks time to order a Stihl petrol leaf blower / vac.

Fantastic cafe, amazing quality and portion sizes, very reasonable prices great selection of good brands of clothing with competitive pricing. Main shop has a huge range of products, outside there is a great nursery of plants and shrubs with a greenhouse for bedding and produce plants. Also good range of fencing, garden furniture and sheds. Offer delivery service aswell as some online shopping. Well worth a visit and guaranteed to come away with a full belly and a few bargains you didn't know you needed 😉
I only found out about Sam Turners in Northallerton by accident, I'd had a dreadful experience at the Stokesley outlet, but a colleague convinced me not to give up on the chain. I'm now rather pleased that I did.
It's a great place with an astonishing range of things for sale. I've only been 3 times, leaving circa £2k in their coffers but always with a smile on my face.
The only downside for me is that it's a 60mile round trip.
Although every communication went online and I'm kind of an old school guy about buying machines I have to give credit to all the staff got involved on my purchase. Amy was very helpful and supportive all the way through, she definitely went the extra mile. Everything came how it was promised, all the tools are in perfect condition. Overally I would recommend them and in the future I'm going to choose them. Thank you.
I ordered a Stihl electric pruner on a Thursday afternoon a couple weeks ago. It arrived first thing on Saturday morning.
Last Wednesday I ordered a Stihl trimmer and it came on Friday (both were free p+p). The pricing was competitive against other suppliers. I can't give anything but 5 stars.
If I could rate 10 stars I would. I have used Sam Turner and Sons previously and once again they have provided a 1st class efficient service from order through to delivery in just 2 days. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this company. Thank you.........
Excellent for purchase of new garden machinery. You may need to go elsewhere for urgent service or repairs, although if you have time to wait in the queue they provide good work at a fair price. They have a queue for a reason! Sam Ts only sell quality kit, so just make sure to plan and get it serviced in the winter.
Couldn't believe the hardware choices in this shop and could have spent hours here if it wasn't that my friend had a focussed shop. Also noticed there was a cafeteria upstairs which I heard was good but didn't get a chance to visit. Maybe next time
