Lovely food, nice surroundings and friendly staff. The menu here has improved more each year and now there is alot to choose from. The chicken, bacon and leek pie I would recommend along with an ice cream milkshake!. Also some lovely looking cakes and puddings to sample. We will definately be going back.

Only popped in for ice cream for the grandchildren. Ended up having an enjoyable coffee in the gardens. Will be returning very soon to an afternoon tea, with cakes.

Staff were very welcoming and it's a relaxed environment. I ordered a breakfast just at the cut-off point, but it was no problem. I've not had such a delicious and copious breakfast in years. All very freshly cooked and tasty. Great value. Service was prompt. I highly recommend the tea room/coffee shop. Thanks to you all, but especially the chef! I'll be back! Maggie PS Museum also very good and the museum staff/tour guide very helpful.
