My first ever truck stop and we couldnt of asked for anything better. Staff were really nice and helpful , food was delicious and huge portions and a great price all round , showers were clean and 8 minutes for 1 token was enough time . Would definitely use again on our way up north.
Pub oriented on servicing truck drivers staying overnight at the truck stop. Good choice of meals and drinks. Also inside thwe is a section with accessories for truckers.
Just had the best Madras I've had for a long time. Spicy, tasty and good portion. The menu is awesome and the staff are friendly. Look forward to stopping here again. They also have a shop for everything truckers need.
Very good setup, and improving, including new truck wash, large fenced parking area, with hard standing for around 100 - 200 trucks. I went inside for a breakfast, and had the Full version, which was quite good for £7.95 this included tea or coffee, but no toast or bread/butter. But I wanted a cold can of drink, which cost me £1.30 extra for a standard Orange Tango.
Love this truck stop, I would recommend any driver to stop at this little gem. The food is delicious and well presented, and if you want a beer, it's on tap. The service is spot on staff friendly and helpful also the breakfasts hit the spot as in made to your liking. I will be making this a regular stop for breaks as well as a daily rest. The only trouble is you need to be a little early as the parking can fill up rather fast (daily rest) hence its a good place to park up.

This place is amzing. On the Road it is difficult to find great truckstops. Especially ones as traditional as this.
Open to everyone not just truckers, this place is with out doubt the best stop i have ever stayed in.
An amzing decor and seriously good food. Served quickly and piping hot.
Ample parking outside and a la carte dining is also available.
They have a laundry, a shop, merchandise outlet and a tradional country pub style bar.
I will definatley be coming here again.
been stopping here off and on for years now , and it’s gradually got better and better in most respects . the food is good , curry’s are spot on so are the burgers . the showers are a decent size , and have sink mirror etc . and there 9 times out of 10 clean . they have outside toilets for drivers to use during the night . that have sinks mirrors etc and are decent and clean . drivers let this place down by telling staff what time they are leaving , but then decide they are having a lay in and block other trucks in . that’s not the staffs fault but other drivers . and because of this i know folk who go won’t use it . i find the staff all decent and amicable and will continue to use the place when ever i’m in the area .
Haven’t stopped here in over 8 years and it has got a lot better with the addition of the fuel bunkers and the food still looks banging ordered a takeaway mix grill after seeing people pics on the reviews (probably take me 3 days to eat it 😂) decent showers good food fill the truck with fuel or even get it washed. Friendly staff too pleasure to come here will be back when the opportunity arises 😃👍

First time I'm om a actual great and clean parking spot.
If you want to sure of a spot make sure you make a reservation before 3 o'clock.
But it's all worth it. Good and clean toilets (don't forget to tip the cleaner) and specious, hot showers.
After this it's time to eat. And eating it is at the Red Lion. For just 1 pound additional to the parking costs (SNAP is accepted) you can have a great meal.
This is a well earned 5 star SNAP spot.
I only stopped for food, i had steak and kidney suet pudding and new boiled potatoes and veg really nice and tasty but the carrots could have been cooked longer. Parking is an improvement from years ago when it was s dirt patch.
