Just popped in on the off chance after a walk in the snow, Sunday afternoon. Great, friendly welcome from the owner and the locals. Sunday beef roast was amazing. I will definitely be back.

we have had nothing but problems with the building that We have been trying to get sorted out Now the local council are involved .help has come (about time) the pace is an old building . We are grade two 18 century village pub .was told buy two or three local people to change the look of the place so did .. still it not good a Nuf we are only human at the end of the day all the same and I only come to run the pub and keep it trading for the village and others passing buy this hidden little place ... If you have not been in then please do pop along and find out for your self ....what the compass is about just a 18 century back street village pub with some games .t.v dog friendly kids welcome warm and clean that is it Keep open support local ale campaign for real ale .."".
