I got a collection take away. I have lived in this town for over 30 years and I have never tried mayflower. When I collected the food the staff were very welcoming with the food being ready on time. When I plated it up at home first thing I noticed was how nice the rice looked, can’t describe it but looked clean and just nice, same with the chips they were fresh and not stale. The rest of the food was the same. Looking forward to sitting in next time. Think this will be my go to Chinese takeaway.

I went to have dinner and it was a nice experience there. The atmosphere was so good, it was really calm quiet and so enjoyable. Customer service was so great as the food was. She asked for my interest and taste, suggesting what menu i might like. The food really tastes good.

Tastiest Authentic Chinese I have had in a long time. Being from the Caribbean, used to spicy / chilli- hot foods. Mayflower didn’t disappoint. Staff were super friendly & will definitely return for the amazing cuisines. 👍🏼

It’s a lovely restaurant owned by a Chinese family. They serve authentic Sichuan and Hunan food like hotpot, stir fry any meats with chill. if you like spicy, do not miss the chance to come in. They also serve lots of non-spicy food from Guangdong Province and other parts of China. Besides that, their localised menu is also good, recommend Mix Hors d’oeuveres, bbq rips, and crispy duck.

Absolutely delicious authentic Chinese food. I’ve ordered an egg drop soup with seaweed which was aromatic and full of nutrients, as well as the tripe slices sautéed with coriander, from the new, more authentic menu. That dish was amazing. The tripe was tender, it was cooked with coriander stems which have more flavor and aroma than the leaves and it was very nicely presented. I’m happy I’m spending few days more in Northampton, because for sure I will be back. The service was very polite and the restaurant is conveniently located in the town center, just opposite to the Ibis hotel.

My partner and I had dinner in this restaurant. It was clean and quiet, the server was so polite and kind. The meals have good portions and it’s very tasty as well! One of the best legitimate chinese food that I’ve eaten here in the UK. It so happens that the owner’s kid was celebrating his bday so they gave us 2 slices of their bday cake. They were so lovely the whole time. Pricing is good and reasonable. Will definitely come back.

I have to say it's a pleasant surprise to find a relatively authentic Chinese food in Northampton. The roast duck and Taufu is considered to be central Londons standard. The portions were good sized as well. Will definitely come again.
