Very friendly family run tea shop, we had a great afternoon tea with sarnies and cake galore. Everything home made and made fresh, lovely cakes and scones, delicious and proper leaf tea in a proper tea pot. Bliss! Also for those just looking to break their journey, it’s useful to know you can access the tea shop without paying for entry to the house/gardens.

We left it a bit late to get to the tea room but it was no trouble at all for the staff, service with a smile and a joke, perfect. Lovely big slab of cake to finish off a great afternoon in the gardens.
If you're just passing you don't have to pay to enter the gardens to visit the tea parlour as it's just in the stable yard.

Had a time today at Holdenby House tea rooms. Enjoyed our lattes and the Strawberry and Rose and Lavender and Lemon cakes not only looked absolutely beautiful but tasted just as nice. Looking forward to a second visit and the afternoon tea looks lovely. Lovely, friendly staff, excellent service.
