Visiting from out of state for a fall vacation trip. After renting bikes from All Out Adventures, my wife and I worked up an appetite. We were suggested to try out The Roost. We were told there was a ramp and automatic doors which made the space accessible. We didn’t initially know where the accessible entrance was so I ended up having to step up with my rollator.
It was very loud, and busy in there. Everyone from the folks working to the people waiting in line, everyone was so kind and cool. The atmosphere had a nice vibe. The only problem is it was very loud and sensory overwhelming. We had to go to the car to eat which wasn’t a problem.
The food is outstanding. I got a mocha maple iced latte which was incredible. My wife got an iced coffee with vanilla. I got the gluten free waffle with fruit, and this butter squash with walnuts and cranberries side being offered. My wife ordered this breakfast sandwich which was her stepping outside her comfort zone. She ordered the Williston, she said it was absolutely delicious and makes her want to step more outside of her food comfort zone due to the amazing experience she had. We would highly recommend this place to anyone if we had the chance.
Recommendations:
If there isn’t a sign by the non-accessible entrance, would highly recommend adding one so folks know to go to the other door.

I was visiting from Tampa, FL about 5 years ago and we stopped in while walking around town. 5 years later and I'm still talking about their coconut cake!! True confession: I had to buy a second slice to go because one was just not enough.
Planning on stopping back by Northampton one day JUST for the cake!

Food and drinks are pretty good! Chichen is a little dry, but the sandwiches taste nice despite that. their breakfast burritos rule tho

I've been coming here for years when I'm in town and it's one of my favorite places in Northampton for quality consistency and atmosphere. Expect it to get busy and crowded because it's great but if you catch it on a slow afternoon it's a lovely place to sit for a while and enjoy a drink and a snack. They do have a lot of seating and some big tables! The food is really good. The sandwiches are amazing! The staff is also really great throughout the years which says a lot since it does get quite busy!

This review is for my first visit to the Roost. I had a breakfast burrito, a fruit tart and an ice tea. They somehow mixed up my fruit tart with an arugula salad, but that was straightened out pretty quickly. The fruit tart was the best I ever had. Atmosphere was ok. A bit crowded, but I'll be back.

The Market chicken sandwich was served on a baguette-ish bread that was soft with a bit of crunch on the ends. The spicy rooster sauce added a little heat and flavor! The picked onions did not seem pickled at all; they were diced and a little on the firm side.
The Yenta sandwich had a great crunch (see pics) perfectly toasted sourdough bread. The veggies and cheese all thinly sliced. The desserts all look spectacularly scrumptious!!!! OMGOODNESS. I couldn’t decide and got 2!! The fruit tart (with an unseen thin layer of chocolate) - I ate most of it while waiting for the sandwich. Absolutely delightful! I only knew it had chocolate bc I almost only got the banana crème tart because it has a visible layer of chocolate under the banana slices. Life’s short I got both.

Kindest Baristas. And what's this, sweet and savory Waffles? Though I must say the Cowgirl Cookies are my favorite. Love The Roost. -Smiles

Nice food (love the walnut pesto on the “itty bitty”), good coffee, and friendly service. Under renovations—will look forward to seeing the results when I’m back in town. Love the Ukrainian flag cookie!
