La Pergola

I went for the first time with my wife for a belated birthday meal early yesterday evening and had a wonderful time. From the moment we stepped through the door to when we left we were treated so well. The service was exceptional and the food was amazing. Its a family run restaurant with a small menu but the quality of the food is fantastic. We will definitely be returning and personally I can't wait. Thank you to everyone at the restaurant for making it a memorable evening.

Love love love this little Italian restaurant on the Welly road. The service is great, the menu and food are always so fresh, the drinks are nice. Gavi by the glass. Yes please. I always order one of the specials whether it's the pasta or the dessert. Always such a treat. Cute and cozy courtyard at the back which is nicely shaded.

The food was delicious, but the starter (antipasti with meat) and pudding (cannolo) seemed overpriced. The main (spaghetti al carbonara) was a very fair price, however. Unfortunately, the pizza oven wasn't working when I visited and I definitely want to come back to try a pizza so that is a good sign! 🙂

Food is AMAZING! The restaurant is a small but lovely environment. We came when there were a few parties going on so it seemed busier but we are patient customers and understood.Thoroughly enjoyed the rustic themed evening. Staff were polite. Me and my partner both said as soon as we got out “ah not in Italy anymore and that we will 1000% be coming back”.

I travel across the UK to eat here. The owner, team and especially the chef are some of the most passionate restauranteurs I have ever seen. Their attention to detail is impeccable. The food is always incredible. I can officially say I’ve tried all the varieties they offer and the food is completely faultless. The chef will always make an appearance and see how things are going on the floor. Its a team of true perfectionists The owner is the sweetest man who cares about maintaining a top level service and a relaxed setting. I am on holiday whenever I enter their establishment. Through covid when we had to eat outside they spent money and dedicated time to laying out a small garden space into a picturesque dinner garden. They set out heaters around the garden and fairy lights over the top… it was gorgeous. You have blown us away time and time again and we Thank you for the incredible service you offer! Room for improvement - more balanced wines to match your superb food.
