Went for Sunday Lunch here and a couple of drinks. The food was delicious and the service was as good as it gets. Our waitress was very attentive and also gave us some history of the pub. Would definitely recommend

Called in for a pint when working away, ended up eating too. Staff couldn’t do enough for us and the food was absolutely delicious. The blade of beef was exceptional and I’ll definitely be back. If you’re in the area it’s well worth a visit, great atmosphere in the pub.
I like it. It's not big but it's comfortable. Staff are courteous. Decor interesting. I'm glad they renovated. The music could be better. Some folk might serve it better for the atmosphere. Less Barbie more workman.
Service was amazing, drinks were amazing… the best martini I’ve ever had. The food was a delight. I would definitely recommend and will be back. A fabulous place to go and try.
A well presented pub shoehorned into a tiny building giving it some personality and character.
Called in for an evening meal, great food very reasonably priced.
Wow what a refurb! Visiting again brought back many memories of pre bridge street drinks or a cheeky after work drink.
It always has been a beautiful building but now it resembles an elegant night out.

My first time eating at Shipmans, very impressed. Lovely cozy interior with nooks and a wood fire (perfect on a cold winter day). I had the Ploughman's platter for 1 and it was fantastic. I have not eaten here, but it is a cool pub, nice selection of beers and wine. To be fair, the food looks nice. If you can, grab the seat in the window facing the street, plenty of footfall going by for people watching
Cant rate food. Great beer. Great staff. Everywgere us clean The only reason it's a 4 star is that the smoking area ain't Great but with the location I know nothing can be done. Still won't stop me from coming again
Sunday lunch was delicious, could have been a bit warmer for my liking. Ali was our server and she was amazing, friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the menu.
