The only reason I haven’t removed a star is because the front of house staff were excellent. We were greeted in a very friendly manner as we arrived, and our waitress was lovely and very polite. We went straight to mains but we were brought bread and olives for free as they thought we had been waiting a while and apologised (I personally didn’t think the wait has been bad at all but it was certainly appreciated). The real issue was when the mains arrived. Two of us had lasagna, and two of us had mafaldine pasta with porcini mushrooms. The lasagna was delicious and there were no issues. The problem came when I took my first mouthful of porcini pasta. It was very gritty and sandy. This problem persisted with every mouthful and it soon became clear that none of the mushrooms had been cleaned at all (the other person with the same dish also had the same issue). We both ate most of the pasta (and just left the mushrooms) as the flavour of the dish itself was excellent; the only problem was the mushrooms not being cleaned off. I reported the problem to our waitress who went and informed the chef (I told her I didn’t want a replacement or anything, just that the chef should know). The waitress then came back to us and said that the chef assured us that all the produce was fresh from today (not exactly sure what this had to do with the mushrooms being unwashed). We did not get an apology or even an explanation for the grit in our dish. I can empathise with the waitress here, as I have worked as a waitress before, and I know how intimidating and rude some chefs can be to staff running food. I am not sure if a manager was informed of this problem but as we came to pay the bill, they had removed the desserts from the bill to apologise for the long wait time. I’m pleased they removed them, but I just wish they had acknowledged the real issue — which was not wait time, but the sand/grit in our main!

Visited Turturici for the first time since the pandemic, was a little unsure as to what the standards would be like, needn't of worried. The food was amazing, standards have not dropped at all. The service was top notch, nothing was to much trouble. Will definitely be returning. Can highly recommend it.

Visited on a Wednesday evening and had a lovely meal sharing a starter, pasta and pizza between 2 of us. The portions were good and most importantly they tasted superb. We sat outside which was a pleasant change from the norm and the staff were attentive and helpful. Whilst he menu is compact, there was a good variety of dishes catering for all. I haven't been for a long time but I will certainly be returning.
