The Moorings

Excellent food, huge portions given by polite staff. I have been for special family meals with groups of 10 people and also just with a friend for a lunch. Nothing is too much trouble. Puddings are great but I often don't get that far as too full! Lovely view of the marina and easy car parking. Soot Hill has reopened so start to go again :)

Looks a bit unassuming from the outside, like it isn't a restaurant but don't be put off! The interior is very restaurant style (diamond cut glasses, tables set with linen table cloths) and the first thing you notice is the view! The staff were so welcoming and kind and the food was home cooked, fresh and delicious 😋. I had already started tucking into my stroganoff before remembering to take the picture so it did come out looking better that that 🤣. Only a few benches outside but we got one easily so who cares, we will definitely be back thank you 😊

Popped in here by chance for a Sunday meal without a reservation and received a warm welcome. The Sunday lunch was tasty and plentiful,with a good selection of vegetables. We then opted for a desert,wow they were delicious. Service, was warm, polite and courteous. Overall a great meal at a reasonable price.
