Swinging Witch

This will be a long one! Went here for karaoke with a friend for our first night out out since the before times. Had an absolute blast. Probably would have felt that way anywhere, but the reasons for 5* are as follows: 1. I ordered the wrong wine in error. Took the sealed bottle back to the bar and the bar manager swapped it, no problem. That is above and beyond in my opinion, as it's a consumable. 2. My friend went to the bathroom and while she was there, a young man started harassing me. As a strong, middle-aged woman, I can handle this kind of thing, but he was relentless. I spoke to a young chap who was collecting glasses and within seconds, security arrived and removed the gentleman. They then checked I was okay and if I needed anything. 3. My friend was *ahem* unwell (as middle-aged women, we forgot we weren't as capable as we were in our twenties). The security guy had seen me with her, came and got me so I could take care of her, then helped my husband and I get her safely into his car (yay for partners who volunteer to be your taxi). 4. The owner of the bar spoke to me after the gentleman that had harassed me earlier was removed from the pub entirely for doing the same to someone else to make sure I was okay. That was so kind, and unnecessary, but made me feel like I was a valued customer, even though I had never been there before! Highly recommend the Swinging Witch for a bloody good night out out in Northwich. Just remember that you are not 22 anymore.
