Stopped off for breakfast on the way home to Nottingham. Brilliant place, food great and fantastic choice. Highly recommend this place.
Amazing food and great atmosphere
Amazing meal today at Tobey Carvery, been coming here on and off for a while but Cyril made our visit and our day today! Really looked after us and helped us with choosing the best options for our meal. The food was spectacular and the portions are plentiful. And we even managed to take some home with us after we ate so the price was really good value. Thank you Cyril for your help and warmth, you made our day :)
Walked into Toby carvery and got a table very quickly even without booking, service was 10/10 especially the chef working on 14th October, he was absolutely lovely and made sure we was happy with our meal.
The gammon was particularly nice on a big dinner, one of the best carvery experiences I’ve had for a while! Thank you to the chef who made us feel at home!!
Toby carvery Norton Canes my partner and I enjoyed the food and the chefs were very friendly. However, our table was in a corner where the air conditioning was a little too cold for us. We understand it was extremely busy on Sunday and when we queried if our family could sit together, it was not possible today. We would be happy to visit again though. Vegetable selection was really good and they cater for anyone with allergies by cooking separately.
Had a reservation & we were seated quickly. Carvery food was excellent, couldn't manage a pudding as we were too full 😋.
We were seated in an area quite close to the carvery, which understandably gets very hot 🔥.
Not sure if the heating was on as well 🤔, coz boy we were hot - didn't spoil the meal tho 😜.
Maybe there's a way to turn the heat off in that area to make it more comfortable for both staff & customers 🤔 especially at really busy times as on a Sunday.
Overall tho a good experience at a decent price, as usual.

The only thing that let us down was a group of pensioners, 1 woman had a really filthy loud mouth. Swore alot and their were young kids in the area sat in. Made me and partner cringe. Lovely lamb roast, beef and gammon from the carvery. Plenty of vegetables. And loved the new strawberry soda drinks they have. Going to try elderflower next 😁
Chatterley Whitfield Pub/Diner, was great. Didn't have to wait long to book-in, as my daughter and I booked online, due to it being popular. The food was great, reasonably priced and the atmosphere was good too. It has disability facilities, value for money
We hired a room for a private party of 20, which was perfect for our needs. After some consultation with the manager it was agreed that a server would take orders for desserts directly from guests instead of queuing at the bar which made life much easier for our party. I would like to thank the manager and staff for their help and understanding. The food was lovely and the chef came in personally to ask if everything was ok
Despite the restaurant being extremely busy we had booked a table and were seated immediately on arrival. Short wait at the servery but excellent choice of four meats and piping hot vegetables. Waiting staff were polite and checked if everything was OK with our food. No rush to complete our meal despite customers queuing to be seated. Bill presented promptly when requested. We had a discount voucher which made the experience even better.
We decided to order a takeaway carvery from work for lunch.. there were seven orders in total and I went to collect. 7 carverys is not fun 😅 and it could have been pretty stressful as the queue built up behind me. Lisa and her staff were amazing. Honestly so so helpful and couldn't do enough for me. They even helped me carry it all to the car.

Busy carvery, good for all ages & good food. Could do with some TLC on maintenance. Paintwork grubby & wallpaper off wall in places. Same hole in ceiling that was there months ago...!
