Fantastic experience from start to finish. They were busy, but it didn't stop them from serving us. Good food takes time to prepare and if you don't mind the wait, you won't be disappointed. We asked our server for recommendations as it was our first visit and chose accordingly. You can't go wrong with a burger, gammon steak or salad but we were definitely in for a surprise - these were not your average dishes. The decor is more upmarket than some of the local places, the seating oh so comfy and the ladies bathroom caters for the modern woman - "a basket of woman" with just about everything she'll need to freshen up. Normally when you ask for the manager, everyone gets worried but tonight was just compliments, no complaints!!

Sunday lunch here was very tasty. We had the beef. Generous portions. Had to enquire about horseradish sauce and mustard. Would have been nice if they came with a spoon! Toilets were spotless. Would have happily ditched the sage and pork stuffing that came with the beef for roast parsnips but that's my personal preference! We will return as would like to try the steak dishes

Been here a few times, Always great food and service, steaks are spot on as expected, and the Roasts are a great size with plenty of meat!

First time trying this place after our usual place was a disappointment last time, however, this meal was immense. Atmosphere, decor, staff friendliness, food etc are all amazing. A really beautiful place that makes you feel a little bit special for being there. Unfortunately the price is too much for us to eat regularly there, but for a special occasion - this will be our new go to.

We ate at the Rat Catchers last night and we were mightily impressed by the decor, the staff attention to detail and the glorious food. The fire-pit was a bonus and added to a great atmosphere. We had the chicken Caesar salad which came with a light pesto bread base and a beef burger with the full trimmings - both brilliant. Would highly recommend. Dogs welcome and water bowl provided. Well done guys!

Friendly pub and restaurant featuring local products (ale, fish, pork, herbs, even cheese). Only gripe is that they were out of three different items that we weren't told about until after we had ordered (and opened) wine. Easily rectified, but staff should advise. Reservations recommended.

Very nice restaurant with lovely staff who now offer an excellent brunch. We can recommend the steak with scrambled eggs and garlic bread as well as the eggs Benedict with back bacon. Delicious. Plenty of parking too.
