Cinema City is the best of all worlds. You can see a film with a glass of wine or a cup of tea. The seats are comfortable, the staff are friendly, and there are decent snacks. It's fabulous.

Genuinely, the best cinema I have been to. Friendly and knowledge staff, fantastic range of films, comfortable seats and plenty of leg room and a wonderful selection of food and drink. What more could you ask for.
Cinema heaven in the heart of Norwich. Loved it as a student and almost 30 years later it's better than ever. Great programming, comfortable seating, state of the art equipment, knowledgeable staff,well-behaved patrons and an adjoining bistro. What's not to love!
Had a great day today at Cinema City, awesome 'Date Day' great service, rocking movie, and the guys even found my AirPods after losing them #Awesome
Cinema for grown ups, comfy chairs, leg room, no chatter or loud scoffing during the film, decent sound and visual, what's not to love
The best around. I love the place. We are going regularly now.
Wouldn't go to any other cinema in Norwich. Friendly staff, comfy seats, take a glass of wine to your seats. What's not to love
Really good cinima went and sow a screen of Paddington bear 2 really enjoyed and lots of leg room
Lovely auditorium....so convenient to sit with a drink....clean and tidy....not one piece of popcorn sailed through the air.....amazing
Just fabulous! Saw Casablanca yesterday for our anniversary followed by Sunday lunch, perfect in everyway.
Just love this cinema, such a lovely homely atmosphere and fantastic staff always so helpful. Food really delicious and always lovely and hot too!🔥
Beautiful historical building with a nice bar and even a DJ Playing reggae tracks (Ricky) on most Friday evenings at present.
Justin the manager is brilliant always happy to assist and have a chat.
Thank-you 😀
Had a great evening here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant had good choice of food and drinks, the food was very tasty, well cooked and reasonably priced. They have made an excellent job of making this very old building accessible without losing its charm and character. Great that it's not just a film venue, we went to a comedy evening which very enjoyable.
Cinema city is a beautiful building retaining original features and quirks. It is almost directly opposite the ramp to st Andrews car park and ready to find. The entrance is beautiful and it's staff are very helpful and kind. Coffee is good and the little cafe area is lovely, featuring 3 eating areas all connected. The screen rooms for cinema viewing are lovely and well kept, not too big and the seats are comfortable. The toilets are also well kept and modern, there is a lift to access upstairs and downstairs as the stairways are narrow and appear to be part of the original design of the building.
Beautiful venue! I just went in for a coffee to enjoy the building’s architecture (rather than to watch a film) and staff were super-friendly, making it the perfect pit-stop during my self-guided walking tour of Norwich. I will 100% be doing the same on my next visit 🙏
This is my favourite cinema on the planet. I've been going here since I was 15 and I'm now in my 60's. Everything about the place is really great except... The FOOD! They used to have a very good restaurant where people would go for dinner without necessarily seeing a movie, now it's shockingly bad, all tastes like it's straight from the freezer, I'm sure it was a money saving exercise but at least find someone who can cook, I know school kids who can do better than this, it's appalling. Other than the the culinary disaster, great job!
Had the most incredible food here, Pizza and burgers were both the nicest we’d had in ages.
Really lovely staff too! We will definitely go again!
FANTASTIC place. Warm staff, wonderful film choices, excellent value. We love it so much.... that my partner made Cinema City part of our proposal (I said yes!) Potentially hiring for wedding celebrations and communication and personal care is epic. Well Done, and thanks! :)
25.07.2023 Great place to go for children. We saw Zog.
Children £3.30 each, adults free. Less noise, not so dark, very child friendly. Can buy snacks at the entrance.
A wonderful cinema. Comfortable, great atmosphere, and wonderfully selected films. So nice to be able to grab a drink in an actual glass and enjoy the film too
We love Cinema City. Best cinema in Norwich. Interesting and varied film selection. Cosy atmosphere and friendly staff. Historic building in lively part of Norwich.
My daughter and myself had lunch at the venue on Easter monday
which was very nice.
We came to see Madame Buttery sceened from R O H and we were absolutley blown away by the wonderful performance. Cannot praise the experience enough.
Cinema City is located at City Centre, St Andrews St, Norwich NR2 4AD. A bar restaurant is attached to the cinema. Comfortable seating area, both inside and outside the Cafe. Wide variety of sets meal under the menu "Brunch" are available for selection. Favourite on Eggs benedict, light breakfast,..etc. You have to wait a little bit longer for food ready serve at table. Overall good experience and recommend here to enjoy for lunch.
Going to the cinema is great, and Cinema City is cosy, with friendly staff, good quality in almost every respect but...
I'm dropping a star for one reason only: I CAN'T STAND the advert that displays just before the show asking you to "make an exception" to turning your phone off to give to a charity. There are so many things wrong with that advert that I'm not going to list them all here, and just to be clear, the idea of promoting giving to that charity is not one of them. It's just so poorly executed in every respect, and I have to turn away from the screen and try and block out the sound every time it comes on, resisting the temptation not to shout and scream at the screen.
Also, their main corporate sponsor's advert is awful too both in execution and because it's promoting an unsustainable travel mode.
Amazing cosy venue with a nice bar to have a pre-movie drink and take a glass of wine with you. The screens are on a smaller side, seating is very comfy, the public was very pleasant. Totally enjoyed the experience 🙂

The cinema is a far cry from the likes of Vue and Odeon, offering a smaller auditorium with comfortable seats and, most importantly, a usually better behaving respectable audience. The restaurant offers really great food and the service overall is very good. However, one thing it does share with the big chains is the inflated price of drinks. I paid £4 for a glass of draught cola. I know they have to make a profit, but it does seem way too expensive. I don't mind paying a little extra for the ticket because you get a better experience here, but be wary of the overall cost of your night out.
In the heart of Norwich you can find this sweet little cinema. Very cozy outside drinking area and screening rooms with good sizes! The staff was very helpful and friendly, all our meeds were met and we would love the come here again!
Really pleasant and enjoyable trip to see a movie guaranteed at this venue. Choice of films is excellent, location of cinema is also great right in the heart of this lovely city. The cinema has an 'in-house' bar/coffee house in very agreeable surroundings. Great place to see a film.
An intimate 'boutique' cinema in Norwich, more a cinema club feel.
Three screens, small and intimate with a cosy feel. Has a cafe/bar. Very civilised.
Love everything about this place. Its like a secret amongst those who go. Clearly a good review will help them stay in Norwich as they have for many years.
