Smokey Barn Coffee Roasters

Fast becoming our favourite coffee spot in Norwich. Slightly away from the busy city centre but still close to our office. It's easy not to spot this place - it's in a dinky and unpretentious old warehouse, tucked away by the river. We were charmed by the lovely owners who welcome everyone, with chat if you want it, or if you don't, with space to enjoy your own thoughts. To the good location and the friendly people, add great coffee at sensible prices and they've got us hooked. This is one of those places we're reluctant to review publicly in case it gets ramma-jammed. They deserve lots of success. Highly recommended. Out of all the cafes in Norwich, Smokey Barn serves the freshest coffee! I watch Pete often roasting the various beans and it always smells great. He is meticulous at roasting - only small batches at a time - to perfection which keeps the quality and continuity to the highest. I highly recommended their coffee to anyone who appreciates great quality. They also offer a great deal for buying several coffees in a hamper which makes a great present!

As a regular visitor to Smokey Barn, and purchaser of their coffees, I can only say that I was astonished by the review of Mohammed Almahboobi! I have tried the majority of Smokey Barn’s coffees (the Guatemala Baquetito is my personal favourite) and I have never had any “stale” coffee from them! From my observations, the way their coffee flies off the shelves, I cannot imagine their coffee could possibly be roasted “a very long time ago”! I understand that we all have different tastes. But would also add that all my friends who have tasted the Smokey Barn coffee have had nothing but praise for its flavour and quality. Please keep up the good work!
