Bun Box

I’ve been wanting to try their Fried rice curry balls for awhile. You get 4 for £3.50. Which was an amazing price! The balls had a crispy outside and a soft creamy inside. The garlic mayo and spring onions worked really well together. I personally felt the added sesame seeds on top didn’t work well with the overall flavours and texture however for the price and quality I really enjoyed them. I 100% would recommend!

I tried Bun Box earlier this week. Having seen people eating these amazing looking don buri bowls I was really excited to give them a go and I'm glad to say they definitely lived up to the hype! The food is amazing, I got two duck down buris, one without onion for myself and one with onion for my partner, the toppings were really generous and the quality was amazing. Solid portions for the money coming in at about £9 per head. For transport they provide lids as well as a range of utensils to eat with. The staff are super friendly and accommodating, they ask about allergies and, from my experience, are happy to accommodate. I added a side of kimchi after my initial order and they were happy to add to my initial order. It's a little thing but it's those that stick with me. Food prep areas look clean and there is plenty of space to sit behind the market to eat as long as it's a sunny day.

After much contemplation, I settled on a katsu chicken bao bun, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. The fusion of textures and tastes within that single bun was nothing short of impressive. My visit to Bao Box felt like a refreshing interlude, as I savored the katsu chicken bao as a light snack. The combination of succulent chicken, delightful seasonings, and the softness of the bun created a harmonious balance that left me satisfied yet craving more. In a market brimming with culinary options, Bao Box stands out not only for its delectable offerings but also for the infectious positivity of its staff. It's an experience that I would gladly repeat.
